This CD is a mixture of strong dance music with a lovely ballad thrown in for good measure. Very similar to music Laura Branigan did in the late '80s and early '90s. Fans will enjoy the CD, with "I Know You By Heart" being the crowning jewel, because it is ultimately a sweet love song about saying goodbye. The CD includes only seven songs, which cannot be helped since it is comprised of three dance singles and four tunes that were recorded for what would have been Branigan's first album in 11 years. RECOMMENDED.

Laura Branigan has always been in my heart and never left. When I read of her death, I was crushed. This cd has songs that you cant live without. It was put together with love with a capital L. It just brings tears and crying to me. Songs : The Challenge, If Thats What It Takes, I Can see Again, The Winner Takes it All, I know You By Heart, Gloria 2004 and Self Control 2004. This is a masterpiece. I will always Remember Laura. I hope any lives that I touched in this world , I will be remembered like her. When I get to heaven she will be singing to me. So Remember Laura. This is a must to own! I love you Laura!

Her fans and the industry had waited almost 10 years for some new material from the incredibly gifted singer. My opinion Branigan had the best voice in the music industry and was always underrated.Any song she covered became hers. Noone could sing a ballad in the style or fashion that Branigan did. She made you feel the pain and emotion with each note.Here she offers 3 new songs, a cover of the ABBA hit "Winner Takes Its All." And 2 recordings of two of her biggest hits of her career "Gloria" and "Self Control". The first "The Challenge" which was produced by Branigan herself is catchy and upbeat pop. The song "I Can See Again" is a beauitful ballad of finding love again as only Branigan can tell. The best and most haunting is the beauitful and painful "I Know Your By Heart". The beauty and emotion in Branigans voice brings this song to life. Your tears flow with hers. If you liked Branigan you must have this CD. If you never heard of her...even more of a reason to have it!

THere is a good and bad to report here. THe bad....This Cd is cheaply made. Sound quality is not good, and some cheap old photos. Laura deserves SO much better than this. The Good is the songs that Laura was working on are really great. Even with only fair sound quality it is great to hear new music from Laura. We will indeed "Remember Laura".

This final CD by Laura Branigan is a must for all Branigan fans and for all the listening public who have missed her spectacular music over the past many years in CDs like "Laura Branigan" and "Over My Heart". You will love the energy of "The Challenge", the fun and bounce in "If That's What it Takes", the lovely sound of "I Can See Again", the fun and enthusiasm of "The Winner Takes it All", two great remixes of "Gloria" and "Self Control"...but, most of all, you will feel the profound emotional power, feel and depth that Laura Branigan always conveyed in her music in the beautiful "I Know You By Heart". It is a true tragedy that she has passed. Her sweet, incredible, talent will be truly, truly missed. Buy this CD and enjoy the voice of a spectacular woman. She will be missed.

Laura Branigan's last recordings, is simply in one word breathtaking, and an absolute masterpiece. There are 5 new songs plus 2 updated versions of both "Gloria" and "Self-Control". All five new songs are excellent. "The Challenge" which is to be released as a single, is a very good way to go, and I hope the public catch on to this song. "If That's What It Takes", is a beautiful song and should be released. "I Can See Again", is another winner, as is "The Winner Takes It All", but the true gem is "I Know You By Heart", this song rips you heart out, as Laura sings with such emotion and passion. As for the 2 updated versions that are very nice extras on this CD. I still find it hard to believe that Laura is gone, we have truly lost an angel when Laura left us, and that August 26, 2004 will always hold a special place in my heart. Laura Branigan: The Last Recordings should be in everyone's collection. Brilliant!!!! A++++++++ Good-Night "Gloria", sleep well Laura, I miss you.

Laura is the most phenomenal singer that there has ever been. Her new collection is bittersweet because, for each song I enjoy, I realize that I'm getting closer to the last new song I will hear from her. I have enjoyed each of the songs, and particularly love "I Can See Again" for her powerful voice and spiritual underpinnings. She was a remarkable voice that has sorely been missed. If you loved Laura's music, you will love this collection.

There are both great dance numbers and some great ballads. The song "I know You By Heart" she recorded in memory of her late husband, but then she died before it was released. Everytime I hear it it brings tears to my eyes.

With a CD this is some of the last recordings from Laura.My favorite song is I know you by heart,What a powerful voice and she makes this song so touching.

I love this CD. The songs are perfectly arranged. Her voice more amazing then ever. I wish Laura was still with us to have finished the entire album. It is blessing that we were given the gift of new vocals for Gloria and Self Control. This is a must have.
