Superb, relaxed Tribute, September 6, 2002

This is a great tribute album to Mildred Bailey, and has the added benefit of having Red Norvo, MB's long time collaborator
involved too. MR's voice isn't quite the same timbre as
Bailey's(for that-- check out the also excellent Daryl Sherman), but she has great style & intonation & expression, & catches the good times. My fave is a kind of tender take on "Ghost of a
Chance'-- not the usual torchy angst. But it's all great!
