The Shangri-Las mix of bubblegum and melodramatic Pop earned them a string of hits including the worldwide smashes 'Leader Of The Pack' and 'Remember (Walking In The Sand)'. Those tracks are included here along with 35 other gems including A-sides, B-sides, early singles, LP cuts and even two spoofs of Shangri-Las tracks by the Detergents! Golden Stars.

This CD collection, along with the import version of "Myrmidons of Melodrama," will give you the majority of the Shangs hits. Now, if only somebody would rerelease their stuff that was on the Capitol label we could really put together a definitive collection!

The Shangri-Las are one of the best girl groups ever! Something like this is missing from pop culture, probabaly because you can't find 4 girls that can ACTUALLY sing and harmonize like the Shangri-Las...the production in these CD's is great...I am glad I have this in my library! - Mike Rivas

While I am a big fan of the Shangri-Las, I gave this a one star rating because of the production. One can hear the needle on the vinyl. This CD was mostly recorded directly from someone's scratchy and old vinyl record! Horrible. This CD's legitimacy is in doubt.

DO NOT BUY THIS CD. If you need the Shangri-Las, buy some vinyl off of Ebay. I do not know if there are any legitimate CD releases. Get Mary Weiss' record Dangerous Game.
