Remembering Our Baby is a beautiful workbook that truly helps children understand the death of their unborn brother or sister and the process of life. Patti Keough's writing style is eloquent and her book is a must-have for any family who has lost their baby before birth. This is often a confusing and troubling time for children and it is so awesome to see a book that will help them to work through the emotions and feelings that they have regarding the loss of their un-born sibling. Kudos to Ms. Keough!
This workbook has been really helpful for our 4 and 9 year olds as they come to terms with the stillbirth of their younger brother. I have also been very touched by the memories they have recorded of my pregnancy and am glad we gave them this opportunity to record their thoughts and feelings. We did have to change the mummy and daddy wording as there are two mums in our family. We will be giving an extra copy to our local Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support group.
I purchased this for a family that lost their baby at 7 months of gestation due to a devastating heart abnormality. They said it was helpful for their children. And I think it was also helpful for them too - since helping the children work though this helps the parents too.
