I bought this album for my grandfather, who is a WWII veteran, and he loves it. We listen to it nearly every time we visit. It's amazing to see the power of music bring my grandfather back to another place in time as we listen to these beautifully rendered songs. This album is a lovely combination of traditional American songs that we can all sing along with, plus some other lesser known, but equally poignant songs. It would no doubt be a welcome addition to any musical collection.
