Authoritative, October 5, 2009
This review is from: The Remington 700: A History and Users Manual (Hardcover)
This is the book on the Remington 700.
Detailed, historical, passionate, and practical.
In his introduction Lacy explains that the book is more for the shooter than the collector. Sure, there's loads of information in here for the collector, but Lacy views the 700 as a gun made to be shot, rather than merely a museum piece.
Quality production: green hardback with silver tooled details and a sewn binding. On heavy paper. 208 pp. Something like 225 illustrations, mostly b&w, some color: gun "portrait" photos, close-up photos, charts, historical ads, technical drawings, parts list, specs, and pictures of the gun in the field.
