Remington's Pearl Collection
Featuring straighteners, styling wands, and hair dryers, Remington's luxurious Pearl collection harnesses the precious power of pearl and Advanced Ceramic technology to create hair you can't help but touch.
Pearl Technology and Ionic Conditioning for Healthy Hair
For achieving salon-quality hairstyles while maintaining healthy locks, the Pearl Hair Dryer is an ideal addition to any styling routine. This hair dryer combines pearl ceramic technology with ionic conditioning for achieving smooth, healthy results.
Ceramic is known to improve heat distribution and help maintain a constant temperature. That means when you select from one of this dryer's three ceramic heat settings, it will stay at that temperature without fluctuating. The Pearl Hair Dryer goes a step beyond ceramic technology, giving you ceramic that is infused with crushed pearls. This patent-pending pearl ceramic houses micro-conditioners that are activated by heated airflow and transferred to your hair while you dry it, sealing its cuticles to give it a silky, nourished sheen.
Finally, the ionic generator works by bathing your hair in positive ions, a technique that makes your hair even softer and more touchable.
Strong Motor for Fast-working, Long-lasting Power
Ideal for those on-the-go mornings, this dryer is powered by a salon-quality motor, so it works fast. In fact, testing has shown that it has 40-percent faster air flow than standard dryers. It's also exceptionally durable and is estimated to last up to three times longer than standard dryers.
Styling Tools for Creating the Look You Want
This dryer comes with a complete ensemble of styling tools, including a concentrator for straighter styles and diffuser for lovely curls and waves, so you can create your own signature look. Plus, with three radiant ceramic heat settings, a cool shot, and two speeds, this dryer makes it easy to create a variety of styles, so you're covered whether you're going for date-night chic or weekend casual.
The Pearl Hair Dryer is backed by a four-year warranty.

Update: I just called Remington. They warranty the product for three years and are sending me a new dryer. No hassle.
This Remington is the standard professional shape (not collapsible), with the standard heat options (cool, warm, hot; plus a button for a burst of cold), airflow options (medium and high; the enclosed concentrator and diffuser can be attached to further customize the airflow), and 1875 watts.
But that's the end of "standard." This model is slightly heavier than my other dryers, the weight being a sturdier motor that's warranted for 4 years. The motor makes it the first dryer with enough oomph that I can hold it the recommended 8-inches away from my head and still get great heat and airflow to my hair. (And it's the first time the tips of my thumb and index finger are healing; they were constantly dry and cracked from needing to hold my old blow-dryers too close to my hand that holds the styling brush.) It has a fabulous surface -- a sort of velvety-smooth composite that creates just the slightest bit of drag so the dryer doesn't slide around or off a countertop. And the best? It's the quietest blow-dryer I've heard, made even better by a pitch that's low and whooshy, not high and whiney. Oh-so-highly recommended!
I began by purchasing the highly rated Revlon RV544. It worked just "OK". The fatal flaw with that model was the short cord. It was only about 6 feet long and it wouldn't reach across our deep countertop to where I needed to use it. Not wanting to use an extension cord with this appliance, I tried to plug it into my makeup mirror to overcome the short cord. The way the plug is designed, it absolutely would not stay plugged into the makeup mirror and fell out multiple times each time I tried to dry my hair. I only used this dryer for a week, but my hair began to look dull and I wondered what long term use of this dryer would do to it. Back to the store.
This time I bought the Conair 259 Infiniti Pro which came well recommended. Another disappointment. It had a short cord, was extremely loud and it barely heated up enough to dry my hair.
My last try was the Remington Studion Collection Pearl Ceramic Hair Dryer. After using it for a month, I love it! My hair dries in a reasonable amount of time, it looks sleek, shiny and to be in excellent condition. The dryer is not overly loud (although I wouldn't call it quiet either), the cord is longer than most standard dryers and it was in my price range. I really don't see how my hair could look better even if I used a $200 dryer. I would highly recommend this dryer.
The dryer is still working great. I love it so much I bought another one to keep on hand in case the first one breaks.Read more ›
The color is very rich and attractive and the brushed plastic material feels soft to the touch. The detail of this blower is remarkable, it even has a small rubber pink bumper preventing scratches on the counter or on the blower and keeps it from sliding on the counter - a nice bonus!
The cord is `just enough' longer than my previous hairdryer that makes it much more convenient to use. The weight of the dryer feels well-balanced in the hand. The control buttons are easy to reach and handle and the unit moves smoothly between settings (yes, one handed use even). The attachments are easy to place on and remove from the dryer.
These are all great features, but the most important part is how it actually dries hair. I have very fine hair and feel that it is much softer and more manageable than with my old dryer. I even borrowed my husbands head to see how the diffuser worked. I did have to put the fan setting on high in order to feel I was getting decent air through the attachment, but overall his hair had more volume, and he did not complain of hot air burn.
The dryer also comes with a generous 4-year warranty, which is great to see the manufacturer stand behind their products. I'm putting the matching curling wand on my Christmas wish list!
Oh, and I was pleased that the packaging of the unit was easily recyclable as the plastic `window' inserts easily removed from the cardboard - a nice plus for anyone who cares not just about the item they buy but also if the packaging is responsible!

I don't really see anything spectacular about this blow dryer in terms of hair luster and smoothness. It does dry faster than my previous Conair cord keeper dryer. Read morePublished 8 days ago by GK
