I have very thick hair and have a lot of it. I wasn't sure if I should get 30 or 20 rollers. However, I decided to go with a smaller one because I just need some volume on top of my hair. To my surprise I can roll all my hair with these 10 rollers! My hair length is about collar bone. If my hair grows much longer and if I need more rollers, I'll just buy another set of these. I paid $14 for a set at Target. Target has them as "Curl Envy" with the same model number.
By the way when I tried to use them for the first time, I noticed that a couple of rollers were not heating up. When I take a closer look, I found them just sitting on the plugs. All rollers need to be snapped into the plugs in order to heat up. After I fixed that problem, it was fine.

Great compact design. Takes up very little room in your suitcase. Rollers heat up & are ready to use in about 2-3 minutes like the product claims. Sets hair better then most rollers (and I have tried many). The only thing that I would change, is to add 2-4 more rollers. But I liked these rollers so much, I actually bought a 2nd set & use these at home over the 5 other sets of rollers I own!!

I wanted hot curlers that could replace my mother's set of hot curlers from the 80's. The ones from the 80's were light, made out of plastic and heated with a metal plate. The plastic curlers sat on a metal rack and actual water was inside the curler.

Remington "All That" curlers are heavy, ceramic (or cermanic-like) and they come in a compact case. I would reccommend Remington curlers but not to everyone.

Pros-
I could not believe how small the case was for 12 curlers! I love it. This set of curlers could easily fit in a medium size purse.

I prefer the metal pins (that come in this kit and in my mom's 80's curlers), over the plastic clips. The plastic clips sometimes leave fringe marks in your hair.

The curlers heat up fast. They are better for your hair than the 80's hot curlers because they get warm enough to get the job done but not scorching hot which causes your hair to fry.

With that said..
I would not recommend these curlers for ALL hair types... for example, asian hair or natural stick-straight hair. I don't think these curlers would get hot enough to have an effect on an asian women's naturally straight hair.

Cons-
The only other slight problem is the heaviness of the curler. If you have never used curlers before, you will have a hell of a time figuring out how to get the curlers to stay in your hair. It gets easier with practice.

This hair setter is fantastic! It not only is small enough to fit into your suitcase but the heat emitted from the unit provides a quality "bounce" to hair and also more body (believe it or not). I have medium-length fine straight hair: I need only hair body and some curl and sheen to my hair (I cannot use hairspray). I found this setter to be perfect in treating me to a perfect style.Remington H-1015 All That Quick Curl Travel Hair Setter

This is a great travel size. Heats up quickly and is hot enough to curl even straight hair.

They are a nice compact size for travel. They work as advertised, just expect to let them heat up longer than the stated "quick curl" time.

A couple months ago my 1980-something hot rollers died. I needed a replacement, and found these. Some reviewers wanted more rollers, but overall they looked good.

And they are. Folks- you are spending like $20 on a set of hot rollers and you get a good deal for your money. The rollers get good and hot (I heat them up about 5 minutes) and I do my very thick hair (shoulder blade length) by rolling it into large sections (back and sides in smaller rollers, top in large rollers). Unless you want to rock a LOT of curl you don't need more rollers than this comes with.

When I use these, this is how I do it:
take take top of hair (what would be a Mohawk if you had one, but wide- like 2 inches wide) and separate into 3 sections. Roll first bang section, then second, then back (which should be the crown of your head). Now I roller for the part in front of your ear on each side (you've used 5 rollers) and you have 2 for the top of the back, two for the bottom of the back. Now go plant your fanny in a chair and read or watch TV for like 20 minutes. Take them out, and voila- gorgeous.

TIP: If you're headed to prom or someplace fancy spray a bit of hairspray on each section before rolling, then again when you take them out of the rollers. Don't get all crazy brushing through it, tousle with your fingers. The more you brush, the more you kill the curls.
