I have owned a Remington electric razor since the 50s and this one ranks down near the least liked. The biggest downside is the fact that you have to install a new cutter approx. every month, when you can find a source tht has them in stock.

The problem is you can't clean the head. Once it starts to fill up, it gets messy. The shave is not bad, but it fills up so fast its a pain. I found you can take the head apart with a philip driver and clean it. Then the shave isn't bad for about a week of shaving. Kind of funny you can buy the entire razer and 3 heads cheaper than you can buy 2 heads. Just my take on it.

I have a Remington hgx-1. I got it when I was in the hospital for 6 months and I could not shave, becuase I could not get out of bed and wa sunable to hold a razor. I hate al electric shavers I tred over the years. My wife bought me this one. It is ok, but I like a close shave and to get that clean feel it stil doe snot come close to being that razor clean feel one gets with a blade. But, it does help when a bl;ade is not possible..

There maybwe a better eletric razor somehwere, but I have never found it. At least this model did not burn my skin as other have in the past.
