With a NR rating of 31, this is about the best hearing protection you can find. However, as with many muffs, if you have a hat size over 7 1/4 you may find these a tight fit. The wire bales on each side do not open far enough. Still looking for a better fit.

The Remington M-31 does a good job sealing in the gaps by the ear when wearing safety glasses. As with the description, it blocks out most of sounds from gunshots (which if ever you're careless enough not to wear an earmuff or earplugs as I was one time,could cause permanent damage to your eardrums). But it also blocks out other people's voices. But if you want earmuffs that block out gunshots or high-decibel sounds and amplify voices, you could get the Remington model at more than a hundred dollars.

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. I wish they could've sold it at a lower price.

Bought two of these (one for me and one for my hubby) for our adventures out on the Shooting Range & we're both very happy with the fit AND the level of hearing protection.

These were just what we needed at a great price.

They're comfortable and really effectively muffle the sound from not only our shots, but those of surrounding shooters. The size is right (no pinched ears) and they fit snugly without being overtight like others I've worn (that tend to give me a headache after 30 minutes wear).

Green color is great--an elegant hunter green with gold writing, not BRIGHT or gaudy--highly recommended.

I bought these muffs primarily for the 30 Noise Reduction Rating. However, it didn't hurt that they had the Remington logo as I have several Remington firearms. The product quality is fine and the sound reduction is great. I've got a big head and did not experience the trouble fitting it that others have expressed. I've only had the muffs about a month so I cannot comment as to the longevity of the product, although they don't particularly display any obvious weak areas of manufacture.

We bought three of these from a local sporting goods store last fall. All three ended up breaking at the same spot, the plastic sleeve on the muffs where the metal tines slide in and out split. They also didn't fit the adults well, it seemed those same metal tines were just a bit too short, so the muffs couldn't come down to make a good and comfortable seal. Worked fine for the younger teens, though.

Very Comfortable initially. Have not worn them for a long time to give you a comfort value for extended wearing. Looks very solidly built. Recommend

Great Headphones work well i can still hear people talking but it muffles gunshots well. Great product.

I hadn't shot anything in about 20 years and am not a big fan of surprise bangs. Not to mention the fear of going deaf looms heavily. So when I went out to shoot with my friends recently with these puppies on, it really a pleasant surprise to actually have the noise deadened to the point of just being loud, but not painful.

I've got a big noggin at 7 3/4. And that did cause issues when I attempted to adjust my glasses or cap. But, overall, that's a matter of genetics...I don't blame the quality of the muffs.

Was thourghly Impressed when 1st time used on firing range, highly recommend!

With a snug fit over safety glasses to keep out noise, these muffs are the best I have ever owned.
