This one is an upgrade from my previous Remington beard trimmer (MB-40) which I really liked. I needed the upgrade because the batteries died. The MB-50 has a very convenient charge indicator that tells when charging has completed and after use, how much charge remains. BTW, the charge will easily last for a month with daily trimming.

This is a must have if you have a beard. I just throw away the Trimmer Guard since I have a full beard so I am mostly trimming wild whiskers, cutting it back to proper length, and defining the edges.

DO not get any of Remington's new beard trimmers. They are junk. I got one until I was able to get this one. Then I threw it in the trash.

I've used my Remington MB 50 beard trimmer regularly for over six yrs with no problems...it still cuts clean and sharp, and works well for trimming around the neck and ears, too. My neatly bearded son often uses it and this year requested one for his holiday gift. We're happy it's still available. Maybe one reason it's been trouble-free is that we mostly use it while plugged in rather than on battery, rarely have it on charge for any length of time, and briefly blow it clean after each use. No 'cons' to report - an excellent inexpensive trimer!

This trimmer works great. The little dial on the from lets you choose the length and the battery indicator is really useful. My only suggestion, try choosing the number one higher than what you think, since it tends to cut shorter than you thought it would. I would definitely recommend.

This gets used almost every day at our house, and it is so much better than the MB-35 that we had previously and died while we were on vacation. The ceramic blade bcuts much more smoothly than the metal blads on the MB-35. Love the indicator lights for the amount of charge and the small pop-up trimmer. All in all, a great deal for $15.

This is now my primary shaving device. I rarely even use my $30 and $60 Remington electric razors any more because this trimmer works so well. I've had it for a couple years and it's just brilliant! With its adjustable length, easy feel on the skin, long lasting life, and very affordable price, I would definitely buy another one if mine died on me. I highly recommend it to anyone.

SECOND ONE I OWNED AND I LIKED IT ENOUGH(MANY YEARS OF USE) TO BUY ANOTHER...QUITE SATISFIED

I have owned this trimmer for at least 10 yrs now. Probably more. It does a great job and it's features are easily accessible. By that I mean the height adjustment is right there on the front of the trimmer needing only your thumb to adjust the blade height up or down. Also the precision trimmer is just underneath on the back side and conveniently accessible with only a push up and down to access and put back into it's space. While I am still using it the charge does appear to be getting a bit weak after 10+ yrs and so am looking to replace it eventually with the refurbished MB70 vac or the new MB200 since the MB50 is no longer available and since all of these Remington trimmers appear to have the same easily accessible features.

Update: After reading cgm's review from December 27, 2010 I may just keep using mine plugged in rather than buy a new different model. Will probably get another 10 yrs out of it that way. Why didn't I think of that? Actually I did but then forgot when getting swept away with looking at the newer models here. Still thinking about it though. I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of this one. :-)

Arrived quickly, condition is like new with all accessories including bag, have used several times on its original charge. This replaced the same model purchased in 2002 and used once/twice a week; recently the battery weakened so that I had to use it with the cord most of the time.

Seems to work really well as far as function is concerned. That said, the plastic toggle on for the power switch fell off after my first use. The switch beneath the plastic piece is still functional, so it is not a big deal. Plus, I will likely just glue the plastic handle back on the power switch and it will be good to go.

I have on used the product 2 0r 3 times and I think it is a ton better than the Norelco I had before I would highly recommend to somebody that has to trim on a regular basis.
