I came across this model on special purchase at Menards, of all places, for about $20 after rebate. I've had this shaver for over 5 years and still get about 6 shaves on one charge. The original cutters lasted several years and are easy to replace. Though hard to find in stores, I've been able to get replacement cutters (SP-25) on Amazon.
I have a moderately coarse beard, so shaving time is a bit longer for me and still get a fairly clean shave. This unit is solidly built, is comfortable to hold, and is quieter than my older oscillating foil screen shaver.
The only drawback is the power switch. There's a small locking tab in the center of the switch that is depressed when pushing the switch on or off. This tab is unnecessary. It takes repeated pressings to switch off unless you press it just right. Maybe this is just a glitch with this particular unit, but that tab is really not necessary. Overall, it's a good shaver for the money, even at $40.
