This item went together easily and looks great. Real wood on all except back , but but it tacks together so well and , it is in back so not a huge issue.
My mom and I put this together in an hour and did'nt fight once so a big thumbs up!
I would recommend a hand drill instead of a screw driver as the directions call for, but if you dont have a drill, a driver will work just fine.

Have never written a review about anything until now. I was very impressed with the ease at which this piece of furniture came together. The dowels and screw holes all lined up perfectly. All I needed was a phillips screwdriver. It is well designed. Kudos to the engineers on this piece. Took about an hour and blends in quite nicely in my Cape Cod cottage. The DVD player, Comcast cable box and surge protector all fit nicely in the middle and have filled the 4 shelves with books and DVDs. The hole in the back was smartly designed so wires could also go from top shelf to bottom shelf, i.e. the power cord from the cable box to the surge protector. I physically visited several furniture stores looking for the right piece with no luck. The prices in the stores were $100 to $200 more and many were not as good quality wise. For the price, this piece is hard to beat.

This unit took me less than an hour to assemble, and once I did it proved itself to be a very nice piece. It's sturdy and stable and fully capable of holding the 76 pounds of plasma TV I just bought. It has just enough storage for my needs without taking over the entire room. The instructions are so-so, but they got the job done. Caution: There are a LOT of little screws and parts, but each one does a specific job so make sure you keep them separated. You get a couple extra of some parts and none of others, so be careful not to lose any.

An excellent value. I'd buy it again if I needed 2.

I have assembled a lot of casual furniture, but this is the best I have seen. Everything fits perfectly. The unit sets up in less than an hour. The materials are first-class! The door catches needed absolutely no adjustments. If you are looking for a great piece of casual furniture, this is your best bet!

I just put this media stand together last night. Let me first say that I wish every piece of furniture came with instructions like this. Everything was clear and every piece had a little letter sticker on it so I knew I was using the right part every step of the way. Even the screws, magnets and such had their own labels. I admit I'm sometimes left scratching my head with some furniture assembly, but this was a breeze.

And it's real wood! I'm used to Ikea furniture where it looks like wood, but it's actually some kind of particle board or something with a wood appearance slapped on the surface. The Remington Mission Oak Media Stand is gorgeous and solid. It looks perfect in our living room.

The media stand arrived in perfect condition, was easy to assemble, and looked good as a finished product. It met or exceeded my expectations.

We shopped all over for a nice media stand that wouldn't bust our account. We ran across this and saw it was rated highly. We debated purchasing it for a while before finally going for it. We're so glad we did. Not only does it look JUST as good as the picture after assembly, it is exceptionally stable. The assembly instructions are easy to follow, but I made a mistake that was annoying and time-consuming to fix. Do not be fooled by the appearance of the two middle vertical panels during assembly. They look identical, but they are not. It matters which one you use for the left and right. If you switch them, the shelves won't fit properly. Learn from my mistake and pay close attention to the instructions.

Very nice, very easy to put together. Much better than I thought even though the reviews were all fives. My wife and I were able to put together in about 90 minutes, despite our obvious lack of mechanical skills. It looks great and the 50" screen perfectly sits atop the stand. Very impressed, appears to be well made.

Don't buy one made of pressed wood, when you can buy this at a comparable price...

A great entertainment table for your flat screen tv! My daughter builder in less than half- hour. Just follow instructions! Very easy to build! It looks great with my samsung flat screen tv. In the middle I was able to put my computer and cable box. In the cabinet door you can fit your DVDs and CDs . A great entertainment center for your tv and media.

BEST THING I HAVE EVER GOTTEN OFF OF AMAZON... It shipped supper fast

Within an hour... we have had it for 6 months and with 2 babies hitting it slaming the glass doors
Always trying to stand on it it has held up very well still looks new i would pick this 1 again anyday..
