4.0 out of 5 stars Good Item, but the PG200 was better.
This is a well made product but I liked the PG200 much better. I cut my own hair and use this groomer for trimming around my ears. The head of the PG200 protruded out to the side further than this one, and made it easy to "trace" around my ears. The PG250 has a thicker neck and doesn't work as well for this purpose but all in all it's a good groomer for the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very poor quality
This trimmer and the parts that come with it are extremely flimsy. The length attachments buckle under the slightest pressure, which makes it impossible to trim at anything other than the shortest length. The trimmer also does a poor job of cutting facial hair even without any attachment, and it requires multiple passes over the same area just to cut the hair...

The trimmer also does a poor job of cutting facial hair even without any attachment, and it requires multiple passes over the same area just to cut the hair thoroughly.

The only reason why I did not give this thing one star is because the trimmer does hold a charge for a long time and it does work alright for trimming nasal, ear, and eyebrow hair.

I would not recommend this trimmer for men if they expect to use it to trim facial hair. If a woman wanted something just to trim nasal, ear, or eyebrows once in a while it does an adequate job for those functions.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this junk!, November 27, 2005

This thing destroyed my beard. The plastic beard groomers are complete garbage, cheap and ineffective. They won't hold their place and fall off the unit.

This was a waste of time and money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me, but attachment broke :(, March 6, 2011
This review is from: Remington PG-250 Titanium 10 in1 Grooming System (Kitchen)
Mine says "Remington-250" on the handle, but does not look like either one pictured here (which both look different from each other)

I have been very happy with mine. I mainly use the medium head, with the length guard on the lowest two settings. I have found it to hold a charge exceptionally well. I use it for about 10 minutes straight and get about 5 uses before I have to charge it again.

The outer shell of the medium-width plastic length guard cracked soon after purchase, but it was still usable. That is, until recently, when I took it out of the drawer and found the guard had split into two pieces :( I am fairly gentle with my things, so this was not due to mishandling.

This is a major disappointment to me. I can no longer use the trimmer for what I need to use it for and apparently, I am going to have a tough time finding another one. I am going to try to glue the shell back together, as it was a clean break into two pieces.

I have used many trimmers and this was the first one I really liked. It did not get rusty like the Wahl I had used before. It did not pull and cut my skin like the Remington MB-20 I had used before. And, it had a lot of attachments for different parts of the body.

Bummer...

EDIT: I tried using the larger head which worked well for trimming. I used it on hair in various places and found that it scratched the skin (quite a bit) in one spot (but not at all, in others). Otherwise, it did such a great job that I might try to file down the edges of the plastic prongs to prevent further scratching.

I rely on reviews here at Amazon to help me make informed buying choices. I hope this review has helped you in the same manner. If you voted this as helpful, I Thank You! :)

The razor I received is not the one pictured. The one I received was actually better, the PG-350 model. Like the PG-250 model I am replacing, the adjustable comb attachments are very delicate and break easily. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do very well...shaves and trims.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Like my Personal Groomer, August 10, 2010

This review is from: Remington PG-250 Titanium 10 in1 Grooming System (Kitchen)
I recently purchased a new Remington PG250 Personal Groomer and am very pleased with it so far. I have a PG200 that I've used for about 10 years and it has performed well. The charger finally died and I had to replace it. Hopefully this one will surpass the old one. I have bought sevral items from Amazon.com and remain pleased with pricing, speed and quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap plastic parts make it useless, March 26, 2009

The cheaply made attachments break very easily and do not hold the setting for an even trim. Too bad because the unit has good power but without the asttachemnts it's useless.
