5.0 out of 5 stars Best trimmer I've had
The title says it all. I've tried Norelco, Wahl, and Panasonic. The Remington is more quiet, pulls less, and performs better when keeping my beard very short or at "stubble" length.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks great but low on options
This trimmer looks great and it has a shiney outside. The clippers work great but there aren't enough settings for the desired styles that I want to shape. I like to fade my beard so that the stubble starts at the tip of my side burns and I blend the hair down gradually getting thicker as I go toward my chin. What sucks is that the four settings on this thing don't allow...

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks great but low on options, June 1, 2009
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
This trimmer looks great and it has a shiney outside. The clippers work great but there aren't enough settings for the desired styles that I want to shape. I like to fade my beard so that the stubble starts at the tip of my side burns and I blend the hair down gradually getting thicker as I go toward my chin. What sucks is that the four settings on this thing don't allow me this option. 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm. At first it seems like these settings would be enough but I found that I would like something in between 3 and 6, and in between 6 and 9.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice trimmer, bad battery, January 18, 2009
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
Got this trimmer as a gift for New Year and was quite happy. I had Philips trimmer before and this Remington is much better in everything - from blades to overall feeling.

But after couple of weeks of use, battery died. The trimmer now works about 3 to 5 minutes after full charge, so the only way to use it is to plug it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool for "beard owners"!, February 4, 2011
I started wearing a french beard some 3 years ago and was faced with trimming it every 3-4 days. I tried almost every beard trimmer on the market but could never find one that satisfied my needs which are as follows:

1) Is cordless.
2) Is portable/small for me to carry as I travel a lot.
3) Comes with different blades and different comb sizes, especially the smaller sizes like 3mm.
4) Holds sufficient juice to last several uses without having to recharge.
5) Washable blades.

The MB900 has proven to be a great tool for all my needs including the above. In fact I also use it without the comb directly on my skin sometimes. I love it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Lacks precision trimming, Mulit, multi, multi pass trimmer at best, June 1, 2009
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
I needed to replace my old trimmer due to it's sheer age. I had hoped to at least get something equal. This is a multi pass trimmer at best, the comb attachments don't even properly line up with the blades, they are so far away from the comb it's necessary to go over and over and over the same area so many times and it still misses some. It looks nice, rechargeable is a nice feature. If only it worked as well as it looks.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as it should be!!!!, August 23, 2007
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
I got this trimmer to replace my old Norelco.I was pleased by the way the trimmer itself was smaller than my Norelco and seemed well made. That idea came to a screeching halt once I had it charged and started to use it.The adapters to set the trim depth are poorly made and set crooked on the trimmer and come off even when not in use.I thought maybe it would improve as I got used to using it,not a chance.I have tried for a couple months to get accustomed to it and it is just poorly designed and not well thought out.I am stuck with this since the money back offer is only good for 30 days. You might get lucky and the adapters will fit on yours but it is taking a chance.Back to Norelco, they have a solid product that is well designed top to bottom,be careful and choose wisely.

1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money, December 20, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
This was a waste of money, a horrible investment. Spend the extra money and buy the Philips Norelco T980 Turbo Vacuum Trimmer. Now that's a real beard trimmer. The Remington has no power, short battery life, does not have sharp blades making you go over the same part over and over, and cuts one length only...stubble. It is useless. I used it 10 times and was disgusted. I bought the Philips Norelco T980 Turbo Vacuum Trimmer and have had the exact opposite experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad little trimmer, August 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wanted to buy a quality trimmer at a reasonable price (read: as cheap as possible) and came across this little gem. I recently started shaving my head, as the summer has been quite hot and my old Wahl trimmer I used on my beard was really at death's door. The Remington was shipped to me and I received it new, in the box a couple days earlier than I expected. I quickly unpacked it to make sure everything was there, and it was. After charging overnight (FOR THE RECOMMENDED 14-16 HOURS. I've read too many reviews by people who give battery powered items bad reviews because they don't take the time to read the instructions and CHARGE THE BATTERY before using.) I got to work and was amazed at how powerful and quiet this little guy was! All trimmed up in no time with no snags. The stand it comes with holds all of the attachments and doubles as a charging stand. The charging is pretty nice, as the cord can either be plugged into the stand, or directly into the trimmer itself. Can be used as a corded trimmer as well as cordless. So far, this trimmer is working much, much better than expected, as I thought it would be cheaply made because of the low price. I was wrong. The interchangeable heads make it really, really nice to use, as you can leave an attachment on one, switch to another for a little touch up, or to trim the neck, and then put the one with the attachment back on. I only gave it 4 stars, as the attachments aren't quite as good as they could be--they clip onto the sides of the trimmer and seem to be a little flimsy at the attachment points, but so far, they've held on.

2.0 out of 5 stars Weak motor, August 6, 2007
This review is from: Remington MB-900 High Precision Washable Mustache and Beard Trimmer (Health and Beauty)
I bought this for myself to replace my previous Norelco trimmer (the plastic attachment's clip broke) and hated it. The motor seems weak, a charge only lasted for a couple of days it seemed. I used it once and went back to using my broken Norelco so I ended up returning it.
