Remington R-200 is a very decent shaver. Unlike Norelco "lift and cut" systems, it does not claim to give you the "closest shave possible". It simply provides you with a clean and comfortable shave without stripping the skin off your face. Another advantage of this product is that it has 2 foil rings on each rotary head, effectively doubling their shaving area. Blades stay sharp for a very long time.

This is a corded (non-chargeable shaver), which means it works instantly at full power when plugged into the outlet. Chargeable shavers at this price range can only run at peak performance when their batteries are fully charged. When out of charge, these shavers quit working altogether, even if plugged into the outlet.

It should also be noted that this product does not come with a travel pouch. Remington R-225 is a shaver identical to this one, except that it comes with a pouch. Some outlets have been discounting R-225 lately to the point that it has become a better deal than R-200.

Verdict: excellent shaver at this price range.

I can't imagine why people liked this shaver enough to warrant a 5 star review. Check out the R225 on this site. It's the same product just comes with a case. You'll see some more balanced/realistic reviews. This shaver is cheap, yes, but you get what you pay for. It isn't the closest shave and it also doesn't have enough power to comfortably cut my whiskers without dragging them out a little bit. After I use this product, my face is itchy and irritated because it takes so many cuts/passes to do the job.

Excellent product used the remington to shave my head bald and got great results. I would highly recommend this shaver to my friends.
