Top-Quality Blades Deliver a Close, Gentle Shave
With titanium coating and Teflon protection, the R-7130's blades are heavy duty, yet they deliver a nick-free shave. Because of their hardy titanium finish, the blades are resistant to dulling. Also, their Teflon surface keeps things gentle, guarding against cuts, scratches, and irritation.
Additionally, the shaver's three rotary heads provide a greater total cutting area and enable a much faster shave. Each of the heads moves and flexes independently to make shaving comfortable. Also, the blades are completely washable, and they rinse quickly and easily under a faucet.
Designed for Easy Operation
The R-7130 has an arching, ergonomic design, making it easy and comfortable to grip. Its handle is blanketed in rubber to ensure a secure grip while you shave. The shaver also has an LCD, which clearly indicates battery life and gauges remaining time.
For further convenience, the R-7130 features a pop-out trimmer that's ideal for detail work like sideburn trimming.

Additionally, the R-7130 accepts universal voltage, so it can be used and charged worldwide. It is backed by Remington's two-year manufacturer's warranty.

A Very Solid Mid Range Shaver that Gives a Great Shave,
By
This review is from: Remington R-7130 Flex 360 LCD Cord/Cordless Rechargeable Men's Rotary Shaver (Health and Beauty)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I've been trying a lot of shavers lately and I have to say that the R-7130 gives a really nice close comfortable shave. I was surprised how much I liked it. It's a very easy shave and I didn't get any razor burn at all. The digital charge indicator is very nice. I don't think I could be without one anymore. I like to know the minutes of charge time left so I don't have to pack the cord when going away. It is a very solid well build unit. It has some weight so it feels good in your hand. The one thing that I did find lacking was a case and charging stand.
Compared to other shavers I've tried: Philips Norelco Arcitec 1090 (Comes with cool accessories) -- Sleeker, cooler, and a little bit better shave than the R-7130 but twice the price. Philips Norelco 8240XL (Comes with a case) -- not quite as nice of a shave as the R-7130 Philips Norelco 8040X Moisturizing Shaver (Comes with case and stand) -- Hard to compare since this is a wet shaver that you can use in the shower and the R-7130 is not. I like having them both. Pros: - LCD digital charge indicator. Tells you how many minutes of charge are left. Mine started at 60 minutes after the first charge. That's almost a month of shaves. - Very close smooth shave. It handled a 3 day growth with no problem. No razor burn at all. - You can rinse it clean with water. Cons: - No Case. It would be nice to have a case to protect it. It has to lay in the drawer now. - No stand. It has to lay there and charge. Conclusion ==> A very nice shave for the price, but the lack of accessories is a bit disappointing.

*NOTE: The newest version now has a redesigned head, it fixes all ills + a better shave, too,
This review is from: Remington R-7130 Flex 360 LCD Cord/Cordless Rechargeable Men's Rotary Shaver (Health and Beauty)
I have just (Nov, 2010) received the newest improved version of the R7130, which now has Remington's redesign of the heads. This solves all the problems of the old model, which previous reviews here are based on. It is now simply a better product.
The previous R7130's heads were removable from the front with a tricky twist that required to be reinstalled just right, or the blades could fall out. The redesign now fixes this by making the cutters removable from the back, only after you open up the shaver. Remington also told me that the new heads now also give a better/closer shave than before, and that all R7130 stock going forward will be equipped with them. I can wholeheartedly recommend it now. And Remington customer service is indeed very good, as has been written around the web.

Manual razor guy pleasantly surprised,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
A long, long time ago, when I was fresh out of college, my cousin sold Remington shavers and got me one for insider price. It was the old-fashioned straight-line kind. I tried it once and it irritated my skin so much that I never tried it again. I've stuck with sensitive-skin products like Edge and the various generations of Gillette multiblade hand razors since.
When I read about this new Remington, with its Teflon coating, I decided to try electric shaving again. I was a little hesitant at first, but when the Remington got here I decided to go for it. First of all, it's a good size and weight for my hand, which is maybe a little larger than normal. It balances well and so it's easy to control its movement. Surprisingly, the shaver came charged for 60 minutes of use (even though they tell you to charge it for 24 hours before using). I really like the LCD readout that shows you how many minutes of charge are left. I have to admit I was a little nervous about putting it to my face, after the bad experience from decades ago. I took my first shave very gently and wasn't concerned with how close a shave I could get. This really helped me get a feel for how to move the rotary blades around my face and neck. Two days later I tried it again, and this time I tried to go for a gentle but close shave. I got a better feel for the circular motion and found that I didn't have to press nearly as hard as I thought to get a decent shave. It helped a lot to do as they advised: pull your skin tight as you move along so that your hairs stand up as much as possible. Bottom line: By my third try I got a good close shave and only the slightest irritation--and that was around the moustache area where it is indeed much more difficult to maneuver. I have to agree with other posters here that this is one area that needs improvement. The Teflon seems to make the shave palatable even for my sensitive skin. I felt no hair pulling at all and a fairly smooth ride across my face. I still have a ways to go in my "technique" to get a quick, smooth shave, but I really think this newfangled gadget is going to do the trick. Updated March 23, 2009: After a few more weeks, I got tired of using this and went back to my trusty old manual razor. Then about a month after that, I ran out of shaving cream and pulled out the Remington. I kind of liked the shave, so I tried it again a couple days later. Went well again. I started using it regularly. The only negative I felt was that the blades kind of dragged over my face, even after I dried my face thoroughly after a shower. So I ordered the Remington preshave powder stick thingy and now the razor just glides over my face and gives me a perfect shave every time. No irritation. Highly recommended, especially with the preshave.
