Trimming Tall Large Leaf Laurel Hedge
on August 21, 2006
The trimmer was very effective at removing the leaves on the sides of my 13 1/2 ft laurel hedge. When fully extended to 6 ft and added to the 5 ft height of my arms extended horizontally, it was not long enough to trim the top of the hedge when pivoted at 60 degrees. I am 5 ft 10 ins tall and for me when the trimmer is pivoted, this provides an approximate practical safe height of 10 1/2 ft, particularly when operating the extended 7 3/4 lb trimmer on the top of a sloped hedge. I found it convenient and easy to use. I will safely attempt to reduce the height of my hedge by 2 ft and extend my reach by 1 ft to trim the top in the future.
