Works great and I highly recomend.

It keeps her safe and visible and I am happy with it for her, but for a larger dog the looseness could be a problem.

Fits even my 65 pound hound mix well.

I bought (2) vests, one for my 65lb Chocolate lab and my 75lb Viszla mix. The vests fit great. Make sure to expose them to light so the reflective strip works. Even if it hasn't been exposed to light the bright orange gives them high visibility. They wear these when we run at night. Now that the sun sets at 4:30pm most of our run is in the dark. The vest secures around their stomache and around their collar. It works both with a standard collar, and a prong collar. I run one dog with a standard and one with a prong collar. Definately recommend this.

I take my border collie out camping and hunting and have started using this high-vis vest to keep him safe. The vest is easy to use, a velcro attachement around his collar and another velcro waste band. My dog was curious about his new vest for a while, but that passed once he started moving around. Works great and I highly recomend.

I ordered two of these reflective vests for my dogs. I enjoy taking them for runs and walks once the sun is down, and these vests are wonderful! The vests did not bother either of my dogs the first time -- and they now get super excited when they see the vests come out of the closet because they know they'll be going out. I recommend these vests -- they are bright, well-designed, and well-made.

Engineers see the world around them in ways that others don't. This makes life interesting and satisfying but punctuated with moments of jaw-clenching frustration whenever we perceive a thing that could have been done right, but wasn't. This is one of those moments.

The Ad is Deceptive

Many dog vests seem to be focused primarily on the top of the dog's body, as if the greatest danger came from hunters in helicopters or perhaps low-orbit ion cannons. What I liked about this vest is the complete coverage of the dog's flanks, as shown in the picture.

Turns out, it's not really so. While the picture suggests that the side lobes extend all the way down, in fact they stop well short, at which point a skinny black strap wraps around the dog's belly and attaches with Velcro. The photo is likely of a medium-size dog wearing a large-size vest.

The ad says "The vest features a loop at the top that attaches securely to your pet's collar for added safety." Not only that, but the loop has a buttonhole-like slot for attaching the leash to the collar. Here's where I began to suspect the designers had seen dogs but didn't actually own any, perhaps stretching their prototypes over dog-shaped mannequins.

Pretty much every dog collar commonly available has exactly one steel ring. To this ring are attached:

* a dog license
* a rabies tag
* a microchip data tag
* an easily-readable tag with the dog's name and the owner's contact information

All these tags are attached with relatively flimsy fasteners, with a split ring or an S-shaped hook. By flimsy, I mean when the leash gets attached to the same ring and the dog jolts it in every direction, eventually tags go missing.

The quality of the product as it is seems good, but this vest is held on with Velcro that is too easy to pull off. My dog pulled this off in 6 seconds. I can't make this stay on him. There is only the one belly band and another flap that wraps around the collar also held on with velcro. I bought another brand for my larger dog which cost just a few more dollars which had several straps with disconnects that had not only a belly band but leg straps front and back besides the belly band. For my dog at least, i'll have to find something like this.

I use the Remington Safety Vest to increase visibility of my dog afield, and during early-morning/late evening training (including field training). I am still using the first vest I purchased when my dog was less than a year-old. I have used it about daily training (including some high-grass cover) over the last year. The vest is held on the dog by velcro - the vest looping around the collar, and an elastic strap around the mid-section. This makes the vest pretty easy to put on the dog. Wear-points are as expected. The velcro around the collar wore-out first, followed by the stitching on the velcro at the mid-section. I am now about in need of a replacement, but I expect I will buy another Remington vest. Video is dog hunting with vest in corn/sourgum field.

Great service from seller, but item is not what I hoped for. Difficult to get leash attached through small neck hole, and if you skip that step the vest slides side to side on dog-not comfortable.

I measured my Maltese. His measurements fit the size small vest.. The vest was way too long and the adjustment strap is in the wrong place for the dog to pee. The entire vest should be made so that the widest part is around the dogs chest and the smallest part is around the back. The adjustment strap needs to be around their chest and not their hind section.
