5.0 out of 5 stars reliable!
I've had other razors and believe me, this one is the most reliable on I've had! It works well, does NOT hurt? (maybe the people who had one that pinches or hurts them got a bad one?) A feature I like and use often is the head pops up to cut longer hair...unfortunately at times I need this before I use the regular cutter. Battery life is acceptable, power is good, and...

1.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable to use!!
Using this on my legs feels like electric shocks because of how it pulls and chews. I wouldn't dare use it on my underarms. Very poor shaver!!!

A feature I like and use often is the head pops up to cut longer hair...unfortunately at times I need this before I use the regular cutter. Battery life is acceptable, power is good, and just a few swipes is all you need. You really can't compare a blade razor to an electric- they are not yet comparable for cutting or time used. This razor, however, has a better level of shaving than other electrics, closer to a blade than the others. In convenience an electric is much better than any blade- you can use it anywhere, dry, just sittin' around!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shaver, July 1, 2008

This costs a little more than the Clio but I was surprised at how close this type of shaver can get. When used wet, its almost as close as a blade. Much more convenient to use. I need the versatility of battery operated. With this one you don't need to pack the charger or find an outlet in a hotel room when traveling.

3.0 out of 5 stars There are better..., November 30, 2005

This is an okay shaver. It does get rid of some of the hair on my legs but there are always a few stray hairs left and I have stubble a day or two after. I've stopped using it on my armpits because it was really uncomfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing for the price, November 10, 2008

I have had this razor for at least 3 years and it is great! I use it virtually every day on my underarms, and as needed on my bikini line. I have very sensitive skin in these areas and find the electric works best for me with no irritation. I have used it on my legs, but this is usually a quickie "last minute" clean up. I highly recommend this. I didn't expect it to last this long or perform this well for the price. It has exceeded my expectations in every way.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad mistake!, July 19, 2004

Don't be fooled by this shaver's cute exterior. This so called "shaver" does ok on legs, but stubble comes back the next day. I would not recommend trying it on armpits, it hurts and leaves red marks all over - after that you can't even put on deodorant! It sucks on the bikini area as well. And not to mention the amount of noise this lil' thing produces. In the shower it works even worse. I dropped it once and the whole thing came apart spilling out the batteries. I am totally dissapointed with it.
The only thing that this shaver is good for is if u go somewhere on vacation and u won't be near a sink for a while.
But for now I'm going back to shaving with a razor, much closer shave and lasts a LOT longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars very reliable, April 27, 2006
This review is from: Remington WDF-1100 Smooth & Silky Women Body Contour Shaver (Color May Vary) (Health and Beauty)
I have used this shaver for over 3 years with no problems at all. I found the wet shave (lather up) gives the best results on both under-arm area and legs. Use the pop up trimmer on longer hair- as hair will just glide under the foil if you try to shave without it. Of course its not as close as a blade- because its not a blade. My only complaint is that it costs as much to replace the cutters (which come with a new foil as well) as it does to buy a new razor.

3.0 out of 5 stars The case of the missing deodorant..., July 18, 2004

This shaver chews up my armpits so badly I can't wear deodorant. I give it a three because it does do a pretty good job on the legs.

Given the results I probably will investigate shaver comparisons to find a better one for sensitive skin.

This is one of the best shavers I have ever owned. I'm 62 years old and have owned many shavers through the years. It does an excellent job on legs and underarms. I give it 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy with the razor just have to get used to it., January 7, 2009
I had my battery operated razor since I think I was 15 years old now I'm 31 years old it finally died on me. I used it because my underarms are very sensitive and have little bumps that would bleed when I used a real razor. They don't make my old razor anymore so I researched and found this razor(the remington smooth & silky shaver). This one has more functions than my old one so I decided to give it a try. When I first used it, it did nick me but that was the last time. I have used it for over a month and happy with it. I would have to say it's just as good as my old one and maybe even better. I also was a good price.
