Book Description

REMIX is a feel-good page turner, that you won't want to put down until you reach the satisfying ending.

Caz Tallis restores rocking horses in her London workshop. When shabby but charismatic Joe and his dog turn up on her roof terrace, she is reluctantly drawn into investigating a rock star's murder from three years before - an unsolved case the police have closed. Which, as her best friend James says, is rather like poking a furnace with a short stick...

Oracle, AMAZON VINE VOICE REVIEWER, wrote: "This is a highly addictive novel, a good old-fashioned murder mystery with a dash of 21st century celebrity glamour. I struggled to put it down. Lexi Revellian is great at crafting a plot that moves at speed but her biggest talent is in creating characters that the reader can really care about, characters that seem like old friends as the novel draws to a close.

Overall, Remix is great fun, extremely entertaining and - dare I say it - would make an excellent transition to the small or big screen
."

Full length novel: 75,000 words, by the author of REPLICA and ICE DIARIES.
Formatted for Kindle Format 8 - fonts/font sizes can be changed on newer Kindles such as the Paperwhite.

5.0 out of 5 stars Original and Compelling Mystery August 14, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm not normally a big fan of the "accidental detective" school of mystery, but the writer makes this one work. The initially implausible situation -- a young woman meets a man and his dog whom she finds camped out on her rooftop terrace and invites them in for breakfast -- is somehow made quite believable. The author accomplishes this magical feat by giving us a narrator/protagonist who is real, likable, interesting and layered. The pacing works and the writing never gets in its own way. While there's certainly a chick-lit quality to this -- Caz is single, young, attractive and has more than one character interested in pursuing a romance with her, this lacks the whinging quality of a lot of that genre and should appeal to anyone (male or female) who likes a good mystery. If Caz continues to find herself involved with investigations, I'll be happy to follow her adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging Characters December 16, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Remix was a great read from start to finish. After Caz finds a "dead" rock star sleeping on her property, she gets involved in helping him prove he's innocent of murder. At first she's reluctant, but she truly believes in Ric's innocence. I'll stop here, so as not to add spoilers.

Caz and Ric have flaws, but are likable and believable, and secondary characters are also well-drawn. Twists and turns kept me guessing and there was plenty of suspense to keep me reading. Descriptions of Caz's work as a restorer of rocking horses were a fun and fascinating element of the story. Author Lexi Revellian seems to really know her subject.

The book is fast-paced, well-written, and reaches a satisfying conclusion. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great escape August 19, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
Are you looking for a fun read? This one did not let me down. A murder mystery with plot twists that moves at a nice pace. It was hard for me not to like the characters (or hate them) as I got sucked into this one. If you are looking to be entertained, this one is better than TV. I love Cas and want to join the Voice's fan club!

More About the Author

For years, I resisted writing because I knew I'd never be as good as Jane Austen. Finally I realized no one is as good as Jane Austen - I started writing and couldn't stop. I've sold over 60,000 ebooks.

My first two novels are fantasy. The third, REMIX, is contemporary fiction with elements of crime, investigation and romance, and tells what happens when Caz Tallis finds a strange man asleep on her roof terrace. He turns out to be - no, I'm not telling you, you'll have to read it to find out... My fourth, REPLICA, is a thriller. Beth Chandler is unknowingly replicated in a flawed experiment, and falls for the man who is hunting her double. The latest is ICE DIARIES, a post-apocalyptic story with romance and humour.

My day job is designing and making jewellery and silver under my real name, Lexi Dick. I've made pieces for Margaret Thatcher, 10 Downing Street and Her Majesty the Queen.
