5.0 out of 5 stars a little bit of this a little bit of that ...
Missing Persons fans were starving for new material when this cd got released; one thing about remixes ..you either love them or you hate them, whether verses are looped, repeated, ad-libbed, surrendered to a vocoder (which I LOVE btw) set to an arrangement that keeps the sprit of the original, or laid on a whole new arrangement of music that misses the mark entirely...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing
I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was with ALL of the remixes on this CD - I have no idea what they did to "Walking In L.A." but the results were so far away from the energy and unique sound of the original version, it seems criminal. Save your time and money and buy the original versions - this is a massacre of amazing music.

You get a little bit of everything on this cd; being a remix fanatic, I do love this cd ..I was only left thinking ..why not songs from Rhyme and Reason and Color in your life ?? Based on the entire experimentation of this cd, it would have been a welcome addition for listeners.

The best remixes on the cd are tracks 1,2,3,5,8, and 13. Dale re-recorded her vocals for Walking in LA and the results are fabulous. She has nary lost a step in her vocal abilities, and this new, slowed down remix is nothin short of genius. The added rap only adds to the mystery of the song .. I felt like I was in Egypt listening to this remix with the new musical arrangement. This is the 2nd best remix on the cd. The remixes of Words and Windows do keep the original spirit of the songs we know and love. Its nice to hear a dance beat with them and apart from the promotional 12" single release, Im wondering if they were ever heard in the club outlet.

Track 10 (Walking in LA ..again !) is by far the best remix on this cd. I wish it could have been longer. Very industrial sounding ..very hard edged, gritty, the instrumentation alone pumps you full with attitude and a euphoric high ..kind of like that final song in the club that sends you forth in the nite but leaving you wanting more more more right now. Incredible feeling ..

Have an open mind when listening and lose yourself in the new music ..

I don't love all the remixes, but a good portion are done really well. If you love Missing Persons and club music you'll like this CD. The only song that's not remixed is "Action Reaction" which is misfortunate, it could use some zip. Particular being that it is on a CD of remixes, it stands out like a sore thumb.
