The booming beat of a big bass drum is an irresistible draw for kids of all ages. This superbly made drum would be a wonderful way to call children to attention in a group setting. The top surface is made of a sturdy tan plastic material molded to look like leather, and the cylinder of the drum is made of thick pressed board with a vibrant jungle-print design in jewel-bright colors. The drum sits up slightly on molded black plastic feet to increase its deep, resonant sound. Included in the set are two 11-inch mallets of black plastic with round ends of hard foam covered in black velvet. The mallets make a wonderful deep booming sound, but the drum can also be played with the hands. Any school, camp, music program, or library would be pleased to have this excellent instrument on hand to accompany songs or add dramatic sound effects to story hours. If you are looking for a big drum that will produce big sound, this is the drum for you. This has been on my wish list for years and finally I had a good reason to buy it. The sound is big. You can damper it if you need it softer and producing a different kind of sound by simply placing one hand on the drum. It is a great drum that two or three can use at the same time.

We our saving it for the christmas present so we will write more later but we wanted to say this picture does not do it justice! This thing is HUGE, maybe you should show the picture with a kid on top to show how durable and how big this really is! What a great deal too! We are already happy and he hasn't even played it yet!
