The drum is made using ACOUSTICON shell material, for excellent projection capabilities and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals. Added benefits are strength, weather-resistance and reduced weight. The head uses the same material as Remo's FIBERSKYN 3 drumheads, for warm, full tones, with plenty of resonance and sustain. That may not concern your young player just yet, but nonetheless, they'll have a quality instrument for learning about rhythm, which is the foundation of all music making.

This drum is great. It is very well made and has a nice strong sound. My 2 year old daughter and her 3 year old cousin love to play with it. It is fun for adults too. We went ahead and ordered extra set of drum mallets so few people can play on it at once.

Its a nice drum but the picture was misleading. Thought it was a 3-piece set thus the higher price but that was not the case. My son is a year old and beats it frist thing every morning. He loves it

This is a great drum for family. It's big enough for 2-3 kids (depending on child's size) to play at once. It's very good quality in design and sound - not to mention very pretty. Perfect addition to your musical instrument collection.
