My son cannot get enough of this drum. He does love all drums, but this is by far his favorite. He's played with it since he was 11 months old. He flips it over and puts things in it and pushes it around on the carpet. He also likes to roll it on its side. It has a great sound whether you use your hands or the mallet.

My 2 year old is obsessed with drumming and this is perfect for him. He has actually stood on it like a stepstool and it's holding up just fine. I love how sturdy it is and the sound is like a real drum.

I am on a mission to buy my boys musical instruments and it's fun to see them jamming together . I guess buying toy plastic instruments would be jarring and sounds synthesized. Plus they come with buttons with premade tunes so the kids don't get to "make their own music". They also need endless batteries. The other reviews for the drum are spot on. This drum is of high quality and makes beautiful sound. My mom thought that I was crazy to buy drums for my own kids as she knows how hyper they are. Lol , gift them to others she says. But I can totally bear with the sounds . My 1 year old baby is on a banging spree and he picks up the mallet and goes to town. You can also use your fingers to make authentic drum Beats. My 3 yr old also was caught standing on this as a stool and my baby sometimes sits on it and the drum withstood the abuse. I really recommend this drum it's great value.

My grandson is delighted with this drum. It is sturdy and light, made of quality materials...has a nice sound-very pleased.

GREAT drum and sound! Was going to buy Fisher Price toy but accidentally found this. SCORE! My 5yr old LOVES it ... Plays it with stick and like a Bongo. Soo happy I got a real drum and not a cheap plastic toy thing!

Our son loved this little drum. It is the first thing he wants when he wakes up and the last thing he wants to do before going to bed. It held up pretty well as long as he was content with the mallets that we bought that had colorful rubber balls on the end. The head tore on it when he realized that he could turn the mallets around and the drum would be louder. The stick that comes with this drum has two ends like the one that caused the hole in our drum -- can't explain that. He is only two but I think that we will be looking for a drum with a replaceable head.

This drum can satisfy the little one's desire to make some noise without being too loud. So far, it's been durable and does the job. TIP: Put it on a sofa or padded chair to muffle some of the sound when necessary.

So far so good. The baby loves it. Seems sturdy enough to last. I'll probably get a new stick though.

I got this drum for my 1 year old, he stands oon it and plays with it all the time. The Quality is great.

The drum set (drum w/ stick) is great; we play with it all the time and sometimes drum on it with other types of toys or sticks. My DD loves it. Well worth the purchase, great quality for good price.
