This was probably the worst item I have ever bought. The "charge" lasts about 30 seconds and I had to literally stand right over it to even get it to move. The clip that holds the mouse to the control broke off on one side after about 3 charges, so now it doesn't charge at all unless you tie it on with some rope. I'm still looking for a good remote control cat toy. This went in the bucket faster than I could have thrown the money out my window.

Pure Crap!!!!,

Too bad I didn't look at the reviews when I bought this piece of crap, because now I see that someone found out the same thing I did. Hopefully I can save someone else from making my mistake. You get what you pay for.

Kitty loves it, but hard to charge. You have to really wrangle to get the mouse onto the charging area. And, the charge only lasts for five minutes. But, kitty goes bananas for the little electric mouse.

This product was hilarious. My cat loved it and it really beat having to run all over the apartment with a ribbon tailing me. The only draw backs were the longer you use it, the shorter the mouse holds a charge. It also took me a minute to figure out how to charge the mouse. The bottom of the remote flips down and you stick the bottom of the mouse into the prongs. There weren't any directions so I messed around for an hour or so trying to get the mouse to work. Once I had worked it out though, the results were pretty awesome. My cat went insane chasing it all over the place. This product will only work on hard surfaces-- even cat hair on the floor was enough to slow it down. I had to clean out the wheels a few times to keep it going. Overall though, an entertaining cat toy.

I purchased this item at a Petland for $20. It was a lot, but at the time I wanted to find something for my evil kitty to play with that would keep her attention. I have had it for a few months and it works perfectly fine, sort of. The tail broke off due to me holding the mouse by its tail and my cat swiping at it, but the mouse still works okay without its tail. The other day when I was pushing the controller's antenna down the top part snapped. The mouse STILL works fine but I can't be too far away from it or else it won't move.
Other than the parts breaking easily, I haven't had any other problems with this item.

A big hit! Only two problems - it's tricky to get the mouse placed on the charger, and the mouse tends to go left all the time. But we're not talking about a highly-engineered piece of sophisticated machinery here - it's a cat toy! The cat loves it, picks it up by the tail and carries it around. Just the thing to stop the winter blues and perk her up after a dull day. When this one gives out I'm buying another.

Good in theory, poor in execution.,

I read all the reviews so I pretty much knew what to expect. The only problem is no matter how long I have searched for a remote controlled mouse I cannot find any that have good reviews. Must be a common problem. I had several problems with this:1.) It was hard to get the connection needed to charge. It doesn't connect right and takes much longer than 45 seconds to charge. 2.) It holds its charge must less time than it took to charge it in the first place. Why hasn't someone made a remote controlled mouse that has a small battery in it, like the ones they make for cat lasers? It seems most complaints are about how it doesn't hold the charge long. By the time my cat got interested in the toy it died on us and she hasn't wanted to play with it sense. 3.) It was really expensive for how little it does!

I'm not sure why I'm surprised that this product isn't any good. I read the reviews prior to buying but I thought the negative reviews were exaggerations. (It should be obvious that it won't work on carpet!) Some gave this product positive reviews but they must have gotten one of the few decent ones. I have tile floors but it still does not maneuver easily. Many times I have to push it to get it started and then it works for only a minute. When it does work, it moves very slowly and my cats barely give it any attention. But then, that is probably because once it catches their attention, it stops working. It does charge in under a minute but what does it matter if is have too little power to move on its own! Bottom line, don't bother buying. It isn't worth the money. |
