My grandson loved this item, he had so much fun. I don't know what the rest of you guys are talking about, because this item goes fast.

Based on another review I was a little skeptical at first as to how well this R/C Toy would perform. After receiving delivery the other day I inserted the required batteries and tried it out. The truck motor does put out a lot of power and on an uncarpeted and very flat carpeted surface it moved great and even towed one of my grandson's other 1/32 scale die cast trucks without any dificulty. However, I have very thick plush carpeting in my living room and family room and the weight of the truck was sufficient enough to sink down into the plush carpet causing it to move very slowly. But I gave it a little push each time and that helped to get it moving OK! I know my four year old grandson is going to love this toy. If you don't have very thick carpeting for your child to play on, I would recomend buying this toy tow truck. Also note that the boom on the back of the truck is telescopic and extends and retracts nicely but manually, it is not powered by any motors. This is OK concidering that this is not a very expensive R/C Toy. Also I liked the fact that the tow lines with the hooks on them are not regular string but rather elastic string which should not tend to break very easily. Over all I am very pleased with this toy and would highly recomend it.

I ordered 3 of these remote control tow trucks for my 3 grandsons..ages 4-5. I was very disappointed in them....They are very low quality..even just the truck without the remote is very poor quality....the remotes will not turn the wheels at all when the truck is placed on the floor...even on a hard floor off of the carpet....none of them worked right and the remotes controlled all of the trucks at the same time...but that only worked when you were holding them in your hand. The kids were very disappointed as this is what they wanted for Christmas. Not sure I will ever order a toy online again!!

The PB tow truck was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old. The truck is very detailed for the $$$ and cool looking. He was very excited about it until he tried to opperate it. First off the new Radio shack batterys we installed didn't work. This is due to cheap contacts used. For some reason Duracell batterys made contact, they are slightly longer. So we got that sorted out. The truck ran for about 30 minutes then the drive gears sounded like they are striped. I am trying to get a refund , we will see if the customer service is better than the product. It was a very inexpensive RC truck, you get what you pay for but I did expect it to work out of the box.

The truck is dicast metal, but the boom is very cheesy and flimsy and simply has nylon stretch for the 'cable', although it hasnt broke yet(only 48hrs). There is absolutely no control for the boom, simply the rigs movement. What impressed me was(being a grown man in a young boys body) the 1st thing I did was hook it up to the heaviest huge toy car I could find(2ft long firetruck) to see if it would pull it. It deff has some power and my boy loves it. We furthered the experiment by hooking up to my other boys remote JD Tractor he recieved at the same time. Yanked that tractor.lol Boys will be boys!

Purchased several items for December birthday gifts and this was one of them. Truck LOOKED nice enough, until nephew CAREFULLY removed it from the product box (always want to keep things as received IN CASE there is a need to send back!). The "air filter" canister from the right side fell off. A wonderful start, right? He was fine with that, maybe just glue on later. THEN batteries were placed in the vehicle, tried running it back and forth, seemed OK UNTIL the 3rd or 4th go around! Whirring of the motor could still be heard, BUT the truck was NOT moving. Picked it up, shook it, nothing. Picked it up again, tapped it, nothing. Either a gear stripped or something else came loose. Hadn't even played with it for nothing more than about 2 minutes. Unless you have lots of time and don't mind either taking apart to see what is the malfunction OR plenty of time to wait on an exchange, I Do NOT Recommend this item!

This baby looks sharp, great detail very appealing to the eye, however it is extremely slow moving.

I was not very happy, the tow truck I order was broken . The bumper was missing, and the remote did not work, So now instead of my Grandson using the tow truck to tow car's , he is towing the broken truck, I bought. KJ
