This is a beautifully-painted version of the Walker Bulldog M41A3 tank made by Taigen. While other tanks come un-painted with olive drab green plastic, this tank actually looks more like a model. The paint job is very realistic, showing camouflage, weathering, and dirt on the wheels. It really makes the tank look much more realistic.

Briefly, here are the two reasons I gave the tank a slightly lower rating:

1) The tank came with a metal antenna, but the instructions did not indicate where to install the antenna. Nothing looked obvious, and when trying the tank out without the antenna it would seem to lock up (making the same repetitive sound from the speaker for several seconds to a minute or so). It didn't seem like a reception problem, so I initially thought the tank was broken. However, after finding a review of the UNPAINTED tank on YouTube I saw where the antenna was supposed to be attached: The small vertical brass pin on the top of the turret. Because this model was painted, you can't see out of the box that this peg is actually metal. Once I screwed the antenna onto this peg (the paint cracked off so it could make contact), the "freeze up" problems disappeared. So, remember that you need to put the antenna on before you try it out.

2) The tank seemed to pull to the right while driving. There is a trim control on the controller, but I had to trim it ALMOST all the way over to get the tank to drive straight. If I went ALL the way over, one of the treads simply wouldn't turn. Fortunately, it does drive straight where I have it so I'm OK with it. It's not a great sign when you need to trim your controller so far from center, but I'll live with it.

Other than those two items, this tank is wonderful.

First off i was looking for a HL tank as the aftermarket hopups are everywhere. On the otherhand i didnt want it in the stock plastic color. Not sure if it is the description or what but i assumed that this was a HL tank but when i opened the package it had taigen all over it. I didnt know it at the time but taigen is the upgraded version of HL. So after intially being upset I am now very pleased.

The instructions are your typical bad chinese translation ones. They do not address how long to to charge the battery or where the antenna goes, The smoke feature worked when it came out of the box but after refilling, it is hit or miss. Reading other online reviews these smoke units apparently never last.

Battery power on the 2000mah battery is about 30 mins and i recommend getting another battery. Paint and finish is very nice i almost hate running it over concrete curbs.

For the money on this size tank, you cant beat it.

Great color, sound, and smoke system. I only wished it came configured for IR combat. I will be buying other tanks.

This is my first Big R/C tank, it is the upgrade version with metal tracks etc, I have really enjoyed operating the tank and it has added a new dimension to my modeling hobby,I am now up to 7 tanks and unlike other reviews I have seen I have had really no problems with any I have in my collection, It's a fun hobby and I enjoy shearing it with my grandson's,I would recommend this product or the non-upgrade version, good value for money particularly when on sale,

We gave this to my history buff loving son who played with it all day between battery charging. He is 13 yrs. old. Our only complaint is you need to unscrew the battery box every time you need to recharge (every 3 hrs.). As this is plastic I can see it breaking at some point or the screw and battery cover getting lost.

Didn't realize it could shoot BBs. My husband and I didn't recall that in the write up. Otherwise this is a very nice tank for the money. It is large and very detailed.
