Fun album from a promising new band!,

I've listened to this album way more than I ever expected after picking this up at a local music store. I had heard over and over that they sound alot like In Flames, the "Whoracle" era in particular, but I had know idea they were as good. No this isn't as original as In Flames, but musically it's right up there. When I want to hear good music, I don't necessarily reach for the most original, I go for what's going to kick the most butt. And this, my friends, kicks much butt. Every song here is a piece of melodic-death perfection. The vocals on this bad-boy are harsh and powerful. You'll find no clean vocals here. The guitar work is very nice, lots of melodic lead guitar and big crunchy riffs. There's nothing immediately catchy here except for the opening track "Six Nothing," which is driven by a monstrously powerful guitar riff, but after a few listens it really starts to sink in. I urge anyone who enjoys metal to check this out. This is very satisfying music.

This is a great release from Enter My Silence. It's not exactly original, sounding very much like In Flames' Jester Race album (not as good though) But if you wanna sound like a band, In Flames is about the best you could copy! Not too much to say about this disc other than if you like Melodic Death Metal, this is one of the top releases of 2001 and great for a debut, be sure to pick it up if you've worn thin your favorite discs.

that's really about it. I love Swedish-style death metal, which is exactly what this is, but point is that they lack originality like outer space lacks air. Solid effort with extremely solid production, just nothing really new...
