It does exactly what the product description describes. The range is great. It has a shock, vibrate, and tone. The shock and vibrate have 100 levels. The tone is only one level. Each collar is on a separate wavelength so there is no crossover if you are correcting one and not the other. When the shock and vibrate are set to 0 it will do nothing, the product is not broken, turn it up one level. Don't be afraid to test the shock with your fingers when it is set at 1, it just tingles a bit.
I use this product on my 50lb standard poodles. They are mindful of the tone and when that doesn't cut it I use the shock. I have never had to use above a level 7, and that was because one was going to start a fight. They could care less about the vibrate so I rarely use it.
The directions are very hard to understand. Read them carefully, they are all there.
The receivers run off of AAA batteries and if the receivers are taken off the dogs they go into sleep mode. It is the motion of the dogs that keep them active. The remote also goes into sleep mode if not used. There is no on/off switch.
My only gripe about this product is that it has no resistance to water. My dogs ran with them through the fresh snow and they now have condensation inside them. This condensation had messed with the electronics and they constantly beep. Luckily they did not start shocking the dogs. Taking out the batteries is the only way to turn them off. They do not receive signals from the remote when they are in this state. Luckily they reset for a while when you reinsert the batteries. Perhaps when the condensation eventually evaporates the problem will go away. I can always hope.
In the end you get what you pay for.

This is well worth the money. You get what you pay for, so don't buy this expecting a really well made product. You're buying cheap electronics from Asia. That said, it works as advertised and for the money, it's a great value. I couldn't find a two collar set up anywhere else for under $100. My only complaint is that I wish it would vibrate and shock at the same time. I'm finding that the vibrate function has little to no effect on my dogs at least.

I bought this because I have little chihuahuas and I was trying to train them to stop barking and running out of the yard. Well let me say it worked. But it seems to look really retarded on them. It is made for small dogs well not as small as mine. 100 levels f shock all you need is level one and the buzz feature to vibrate the collar. It only took a week with this but also the batteries for the remote are nearly impossible to find. Also someone called the aspca on me because they thought it was inhuman to use them on the dogs. After I finished my training the collars served no purpose other then shocking my friends when they passed out at my place. Overall for a really small dog it works just looks dumb on them and the shocking feature will hurt if you go past level 5. this will get the job done but can cause pain to someone if you play around with it. It was cheap and works great. I just cant get anymore remote batteries cause I would love to continue to prank my friends with it. lol
