Still, the adhesive seems very strong.

I love these for hanging posters or putting on the corner of picture frames that don't want to stay level, all without messing up your wall.
Shannon
Probably not the fault of the merchandise.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and my living area is seperated from my roommates by plywood walls...my poster stayed up on the wall for about an hour.

These did not work to hang my plain, unframed posters. I used at least 4 on each poster, after cleaning off the surface they would hang on. After about an hour, my posters had flopped off and fallen. At first I thought it was the textured cinderblock that I was trying to hang the posters on. However, after I tried hanging them with new mounting squares on the smooth wood of my closet, they still fell of within an hour. Perhaps it's the two surfaces I tried to hang posters on, but these did not work for me at all.

I have used these mounting strips to affix objects like power strips to horizontal surfaces like my working tables so they don't slip and slide around. I particularly like them, beause they are 100% removable, even after months. Yes - removing the last traces of the strip from the table surface may require a little persuasion, like rubbing them off with a finger or scraping it off with a finger nail, but they do remove cleanly leaving both surfaces undamaged.

However, they do not work so well attaching objects to vertical surfaces, particularly heavier objects. There are better porducts for such applications, but those products tend to be permanent and much more difficult to remove without damage later. If used appropriately, this is a 5 star product.

This product works for about an hour when hanging a normal poster (not framed). They claim to hold up to 1 pound but cannot hold up a poster. I would not recommend these at all.

The strips couldnt hold a single hair let alone a poster. Only reason it was worth it was because it was under 2.00 otherwise its just a piece of junk.

Probably not the fault of the merchandise. I had laminated posters. The "removable glue" has so little holding power that the laminated poster tending to want to "curl up"....caused constant release and they fell down so many times I kept the posters...bought frames...bought 3M Command Picture Frame Hangers Extra Large...took this stuff off the wall...and threw it away.

I love these for hanging posters or putting on the corner of picture frames that don't want to stay level, all without messing up your wall. They can be hard to find in stores, so I was happy to find them here and with Prime too (not sure they're worth it for the shipping the other reviewer paid!).

This is a terrible product. I rent and am not allowed to put holes in my walls. I used this product to place a large photo, and when I went to adjust it, it took a CHUNK of our wall with it! I followed all the directions as well as being incredibly careful. It says not to use with flat paint, cinderblock, or wallpaper. It should say that you cant use it on anything short of cement itself! I now have several LARGE HOLES of plaster that I have to pay for thanks to this product. DO NOT GET IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE PRODUCT DOWN!

Important Information

Directions
Use four Scotch Removable Squares for each half pound (227 g) of weight to be held, and use only for mounting objects up to 2 pounds (900 g) maximum. Use for mounting lightweight objects only (i.e. posters, photos). Surface should be clean, dry and smooth. To remove flexible objects, gently peel back corner of object at sharp angle. To remove rigid objects, insert knife behind mounted object and cut foam between adhesive surfaces. Remove remaining material from wall and object by rolling off with finger. In extreme cases, soak mounting square with rubbing alcohol. Make light pencil lines on wall at key points around object to be mounted. Remove number of squares needed from the solid protective liner. Leaving the individual square protective liner in place, press squares into position on back of object to be mounted. Remove the second liner. Using light pencil lines as a guide, press object into position firmly on wall.
