At first i had some trouble with the modem i bought, but then i figured out that by contacting this seller i actually wasnt setting it up properly. Great people, they checked in with me to see if everything is going well and they even offered me a full refund if the item wasnt working well. again really great people and very polite as well as their desire to help and...

Modem works fine, no Telephony help so far.
This modem works fine, but I have been calling for help on setting up telephony and there has been no response. If you just need a modem, it seems to be good.

If you're thinking of buying this modem for use with Comcast's telephone and internet service, don't. Comcast uses DOCSIS 3.0 devices for VOIP (telephone), while this modem is only DOCSIS 2.0 compliant. They won't let you use it in place of their leased modem.

I could not get the unit to work with my Charter cable service. Buyer beware, I don't think it will work for you at all.

I don't have one of these but I did my research before buying. Apparently The remstream parent company started remstream to manufacture cable modems, after they acquired some old patents, then filed lawsuits against every major cable company for infringement. They only made a short run of these to strengthen their legal position as a cable modem manufacturer while they sue the cable industry for a percentage of all cable modem sales. Don't know if you can trust a company like that.
