My daughter has a lot of these step into reading books. This is my least favorite. I know it is supposed to be easy for them to read, but my 3 year old didn't even like it.

Too challenging as a first step,

This step into reading book is outside of what I would consider the first step. Words like kitchen, skylight, watching, climb, and Paris aren't beginning words. There is little to no rhyming. If you are looking for a good first read for a child, this isn't one of them.
