The Renaissance refers to the period of European history from 1350 to 1600. It is derived from the French word for rebirth. The Renaissance began in Italy, where the powerful middle class, which included bankers and merchants, controlled politics and the economy. They were a wealthy middle class, and could afford to support the arts. It was a time of great cultural and intellectual movement.

The gems tend to fall off so that would be a choking hazard for little ones and the fact that it appeared to be appropriate for adult sizes is very false. It is much too small for adults. So not sure who it would be good for...

This crown is only half a crown. It does not make a complete circle. It would really be better for a child and I wanted it for an adult Nativity scene. I do like that it is not the shiney gaudy gold color. It is a very pretty gold color.
