Rendezvous with Destiny,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rendezvous with Destiny (Paperback)
This was an amazing story. Our Crew was named ELMER'S TUNE, so I was interested in this
plane. We did not have a plane. We took whatever was available and had 7 different planes to do our missions. My wife & I have written a book which is available on Amazon.com called Elmer's Tune, and it has the 10 man crew and the missions that I made while stationed in England in WWII. I cannot remember the names of the planes, but do know that three of them were the Farmer's Daughter, Little Cheezer and Morning Star. As for the other 4, I do not remember their number or name. We flew 32 missions over Germany, enemy occupied Belgium, France and Holland, 3 missions over the English Channel looking for survivors of downed planes. Being a Ball Turret Gunner WWII certainly made this book very interesting to me, as I had often wondered about the down planes that wereElmer's Tune beside us and what possibly could have happened to them. Thanks to the author of this book for helping me to know. Thank you so much. |
