Yvonne Brunhammer is the former director of the Union des Arts Decoratifs, Paris and the chief curator and an international expert on Rene Lalique’s oeuvre. Dany Sautot, ex-director of the Musee Baccarat, is a historian and expert in the decorative arts of the 19th century and on gardens.

I was surprised & disappointed that there were more full page photos of paintings by other artists' than full page photos of Lalique's jewelry! The book's focus does seem to be on his creative process, and his sketches were great to see, but I was hoping for a celebration of Lalique's jewelry in photos. The cover is the best photo of that type in the book.

Beautiful pictures of wonderful work! If you like Lalique, you can't help but to like the book. I don't know if they are inspiring or "why do I even bother?" He is a hard act to follow!

Excellent book. The pictures are great: big size and good quality. It shows lots of René Lalique's studies and designs not to mention the jewels, perfume bottles and vases. Very good purchase!
