If you like Lalique..
Beautiful pictures of wonderful work! If you like Lalique, you can't help but to like the book. I don't know if they are inspiring or "why do I even bother?" He is a hard act to follow!

not what I expected
I was surprised & disappointed that there were more full page photos of paintings by other artists' than full page photos of Lalique's jewelry! The book's focus does seem to be on his creative process, and his sketches were great to see, but I was hoping for a celebration of Lalique's jewelry in photos. The cover is the best photo of that type in the book.

Excellent book. The pictures are great: big size and good quality. It shows lots of René Lalique's studies and designs not to mention the jewels, perfume bottles and vases. Very good purchase!

Buy this book before it goes out of print, if you love Art Nouveau jewelry and/or Rene Lalique's work. This covers 80% of his major jewelry. He was a genius - one of the greatest jewelry designs, EVER, and this book pays tribute and does justice to his reputation. I found this book to be so captivating that I lost track of time was in a trance.
