Audra is a young woman seeking a good husband, a Christian man and takes her pastor's suggestion to travel and meet his son. However, her stage is robbed and a man is killed. Audra gets a good look at the robber and finds out the man she is going to meet has a twin brother who is an outlaw. Deception, intrigue, love and honesty are all interwoven in this story, and the reader comes to love some characters and hate others. Good job, Diann, thank you.

How would you feel if you left your family and friends and went to a different land only to be deceived? This is what happens to young Audra as she travels to Iowa to be a mail-order bride for a young pastor. Mail-order brides were common to the time period in which this story is set. What adds a twist to a mail-order bride situation is that there are identical twins living in the town when she arrives there.

One of the twins has sent for a bride for his brother. Caleb Windsor has been blamed for the crimes which his brother has committed. One of the brothers is definitely more suited for young Audra, but where does the sharing between brothers end? Will the fact that the young pastor is married be enough for him to leave his crime behind? Will Caleb be able to clear his name and still have a chance at happiness with the woman he loves?

This book has been out in print for months. It now is out in an audio book type format. The complete story is told on 4 CDs with voice changes in order to keep the characters straight. Audio books are awesome for those who find that they don't have time to read a book. They are also great for mothers to listen to while they are taking kids from their many activities. "Renegade Husband" is sure to keep the romantic and adventure lover hooked. I loved this book and found that "reading" a book this way is very enjoyable. It's a great storyline and can capture your attention. You won't want to stop listening until the delightful ending.
