When Slocum sells his bull Maniac and Sam see the Phantoms herd without him she knows that somthings going on.Things get stranger as the book goes on and if sam doesnt do something fast she may never see him again. Once again Sam is fighting for her stallion's freedom...

She then tries to track down Karla Starr at all different rodoes in a way that could send her on a wild goose chase. but one night jake's family shows sam's family and their workers a video tape. This book is great! I loooved it. It has a lot of supspense and emotion. The Phantom gets into trouble in this book and Sam is there to help him. He is put in a rodeo and is drugged to make him perform. This part in the book was very emotional to me. I highly reccomend this book. It's the best out of the series so far.

I have read the first thirteen of the Phantom Stallion series, and The Renegade is one of my favorites. Like all the Phantom Stallion books, a lot of different story lines are presented throughout the book. You get to know not only the human characters, but also the horses, each of which have their own personality as well. I highly recommend the Phantom Stallion series for any horse lover!
