I have numerous allergies to ingested items, including wheat and many other foods. This makes it essential to keep a clean digestive system for purposes of healing and restoring optimal function to villi and other components. Thus, I have used many different types of fiber over the years. This is, hands down, the best in my view.

WHY?

1) NO grittiness. (I use a blender cup w/ my Oster Blender)

2) NO bloating.

3) NO flatulence.

4) NO heavy feeling.

5) NO painful elimination.

6) NO repeat visits to the "powder room".

7) NO taste distortions.

8) IT'S ORGANIC.

9) It blends easily in recipes. I add it to my homemade, additive free, dairy free, low glycemic HypFoods Coconut Yogurt.

10) Helps maintain CHOLESTEROL *AND* BLOOD SUGAR levels.

Other reviewers comment about the taste and I would just note that different diets and medications can affect the sense of taste. I do NOT taste this product in my WakeUp shake AT ALL, whether I make it with frozen fruit or just coconut water.

Don't be afraid to give it a try. Too many benefits to ignore!

The other reviews are right when they tell you this product does not blend easily. The claims on the packaging saying it mixes easily with liquids are overstated. But if you are committed to an organic life style you can do what I do. I simply blend the fiber with hot coffee/or tea in my Magic Bullet (or any other similar device). Problem solved. You must put the coffee in first or the fiber will stick to the bottom. It doesn't blend as well with cold liquids. The package says warm liquids; I find only hot liquids satisfactory.

Ok, I actually bought this from a local health foods store. I should have checked Amazon reviews first.

I used to buy "Equate Fiber Powder" from Walmart to put in my coffee in the morning. That stuff worked great and I never noticed it in the drink. It was clear, tasteless, odorless, and dissolved completely. Walmart doesn't carry it anymore so I have to find a substitute.

Based on the store clerks review, I bought this expecting it to work the same way. This morning, I poured my regular cup of coffee and added a level tablespoon as per the instructions. It turned into clumping goo and I had to get a new cup (I hate wasting coffee). Here's what the label states:

"For best results, mix one level tablespoon (5.6g or approximately 5 shakes) into 6 to 8 ounces of liquid or soft food up to 3 times daily. Stir until dissolved. Organic Clear Fiber(tm) dissolves best in liquids that are room temperature or warmer"

I wish I would have purchased this on Amazon, then I could have return it without any hassle. Now I've got to drive back to the store and beg for my money back.

This fiber is tasteless depending on what you mix it with. I found that if I mix it with my water at my apartment (which is filtered) there is no taste, but when I visited my family I used what they have which is well water and noticed that the well water brought a little bit of taste to the powder. The taste was still very light and very tolerable. Make sure you mix it with warm water if you can tolerate that and mix it well with 8 ounces of water. The warm water helps liquefy the chunks that would occur if you use cooler temperature water. Overall I enjoy this product because it's simple to take and does not taste horrible like most fiber products available.

I read directly on the label that this stuff a) didn't have any taste/flavor, and b) dissolves clear, and both of those statements are wrong. Unless you have a built in blender as a hand, there's no way you'll get this stuff to completely dissolve in water. There will be white chunks in your drink, as you're drinking it, and some will more than likely get stuck to the side of the glass.

With that said, the product does work, and it's 10,000 times better than drinking psyllium husk fiber, which is what I've been taking for years. Psyllium may be the most disgusting thing I've ever consumed in my life. This fiber has a very minor, subtle taste. I guess that's why they say it's "flavor free". It tastes like white rice or something. Doesn't have a flavor, but it certainly does have a taste.

I notice similar benefits as taking psyllium fiber. This product is pretty expensive compared to what I've been using in the past, but it works, and I don't have to choke it down. I WOULD give it 5 stars, if the product label wasn't misleading. This stuff is MOSTLY clear, and MOSTLY flavorless, but it's neither entirely.

I may sound nitpicky here, but when I see a product is called "CLEAR FIBER", I expect it to be clear. :)
