5.0 out of 5 stars Look forward to the updated edition
Professor Twidell is a gifted author, writer, teacher and speaker. As a former pre-doctoral student of Dr. Twidell at Strathclyde, I greatly enjoyed his First Edition and now look forward to seeing the updated edition in the near future.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly edited, unclear
This book, though knowledgeable, is convoluted. It reads relatively well for a textbook, but the exercises are horrendous. Problems worked out in the text are often split up into different sections of a single or multiple chapters. Perhaps this book would be helpful if you ignore the mathematics.
I have poured over this text for hours and left frustrated.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good... not outstanding, February 8, 2009
This review is from: Renewable Energy Resources (Paperback)
I am using this for an online course in renewable energy resources. So far, the book seems to give a good engineering perspective on renewables. One complaint is the questions given at the end of the chapters are often vague and tough to manage.
