Lovely, but the Monet and Morris versions are better,

This review is from: Renoir's Table (Hardcover)
A lovely to look at book, but the recipes are complicated and might not appeal to 21st century cooks. I also did not get a good feel for the times from the pictures. I would rather own an art book specifically about Renoir or the Impressionists. I have many of these historical, picturesque cookbooks and would recommend the Claude Monet or William Morris versions before this one.

Part of a series presenting history, art, everyday habits, surroundings, and meals of French artists like Renoir. Very well done with great photos and recipes. Series also covers Cezanne, VanGogh and Monet.
