if you're into the Bloods & Crips cd's put out by Dangerous & Warlock Records.... do not buy this. I own all the Bloods & Crips stuff, even their stuff on vinyl... i expected to hear some good sounds off this cd like what i heard off bangin on wax, or best of crips, etc... this cd is very disappointing. there's a few good songs on here, but it's not worth buying it... unless you're really into a west coast disco like rap sound, then buy it... this cd is not hard or raw... not hard hitting like the past bloods & crips cds..

while this cd does have members from the gangs listed on the cd rapping... the cd is more of a soundtrack for the movie and the gangstas rapping bout their set, gang life and what they do.. also the cd is mostly comprised of a group called The Reputables (which is 3 Bloods and 3 Crips)... they're not that good either...

do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. and if you must have it, sample every song on here. if you still want it, try to find it for under $5. this type of cd would end up in a bargain bin somewhere.

finally some rappers who are serious and underground yeah they are way better than this mainstream crap on BET and MTV you wanna hear about real cripping and blooding street raps from the streets man you gotta bump this wish there was p funk samples though.

Anytime you put pronounced gang members on an album, you can expect the usual in terms of lyrical ability (lacking) and subject matter (repedative). However, this album is far above the original Bloods and Crips albums released in the mid 90s.

The production is stellar. Probably one of the better produced albums of 2006, which is almost as dumbfounding as it is surprising considering it is all done by no-namers. In fact, Petey Pablo used the instrumental from track 3 on his album he did for Death Row Records "Same Eyez On Me" last year, which is easily the best track on his album as well.

While you can expect to hear a lot of gangsta subjects, you will be pleasantly blown away by the lyrical ability of the artists/gang members. They aren't someone like a Talib Kweli or a Nas by any means, but the lyrics are catchy as well as witty at times.

While I have had the opportunity to view the DVD the multiple talents displayed in the DVD is awesome....I must have the CD. I am especially appreciative of the SouthSide Crips, (Maniac) and his ability to flow with his "real-life" lyrics! (Wished I could ride wit' cha!)

To all of the "gentlemen" who performed in the DVD, I say, ......A mind is a terrible thing to waste! Keep on keepin' on; you all are definitely gifted without the "hardware".

The feeling I got was, you must own this cd, if it's anything like the Bloods and Crips cds i already have, than it must be good. And sure enough it was. I usually take a cd out of my car after playing through it twice, but I kept it in for about a month. I like how the lyrics ain't bling bling and stupid stuff like most rappers put out. So I recommend this cd to any rap, hip hop fan out there.
