I am not new to shoe repair materials, i've even protected new shoes with this method even before i wore them , to make sure the original materials and stitching are preserved before wear and tear take its toll. There is nothing better than an original , good quality shoe, sandal ,or any type of footwear with its original built. However to achieve your goal a certain amount of skill is needed. Some basic tools, such as a sharp knife or boxcutter, a Dremel tool with a coarse sanding drum ,or a belt sander will make your proyect easier to complete. Qood quality contact cement, applied at least twice after dry, should do the trick for a permanent bond. The materials I received seem to be tough and longlasting .

Bought these to repair the soles on my work boots. I bought some contact cement. The whole process took less than an hour including set time for the cement. I glued the souls on, trimmed them to size right away and only clamped at the toe for 10 minutes. Removed the clamp and slipped the boots on and went to work. I work on a farm and it rained hard the same day and they held with no issues. Been a week now and they are still good to go wearing them daily. These are good quality souls and should last a long time. By the way, Goodyear is stamped on the rubber. After I trimmed excess off none of that was on there so they look like original souls. Highly recommend for those that are handy at repairs or know someone that is.
I plan on ordering another set for my riding boots.

Fit my size mens 10.5 shoe no problem, and trimmed off the rest with a box cutter. The two halves fit over the entire sole. I HIGHLY recommend using Barge Cement not Shoe Goo to put these on. Also note the the heel is 1/4" thick and the top sole is 1/10" thick

These are amazing. I used these to replace the stock soles on thrift store dress shoes. Proper technique is necessary and Youtube can provide tutorials for those curious. They come imprinted with Goodyear. They are amazing, far exceeded my expectations. If only I could find stores in the United States that supplied these.

I purchase these figuring that I could save a few bucks...that I did, however, I could have used about a dozen more clamps! The soles are very stiff and will not conform to the toe end unless clamped and held in place for about 8 hours. Also, they were not large enough for the width of the shoe but were too wide for the toe...how long they will last is still in question.

Nothing wrong with this product, but my experience was that this is too difficult for the average person to manage. I used Shoe Goo to adhere these, and without some kind of clamping system that can accommodate slight curves it just wasn't possible to get good adhesion. That left gaps at the edges which then needed to be filled in order to salvage this brand new pair of shoes. What I've learned from this is to shop very carefully for shoes and avoid leather soles which are slippery. IF you have a wide selection of clamps and other tools you very well might be able to handle this type of project.

Used Gorilla glue. You must have a set of clamps and block of wood to put in shoe. used one inch belt sander to grind down edges.

If you need more traction on slippery soles, you can buy these with shoe glue to add to your soles. You can cut them with any pair of scissors to fit your shoe. I used the uppers to provide a thin layer of traction on both the ball and heel of the sole. The heels are to thick to use on my shoes - they are for men's dress shoes. Wear a mask and gloves while applying glue.
