Product Description

This repair kit supplies the capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside a Westinghouse LCM-19w4 LCD monitor. This repair kit is for the power supply board pictured above. Please verify that the power supply board inside your LCD monitor or TV matches this power supply board.

PLEASE NOTE: You are not purchasing a power supply board, only the capacitors needed to repair it!

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors

- Flickering screen

- Screen image disappears after several seconds

- Dim screen

- Slow start

- Power LED on, but no picture

- Unusual colors and/or lines

The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.

If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.

New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.

We only use the highest quality Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon capacitors in our repair kits.

This Westinghouse LCM-19w4 LCD monitor repair kit contains 7 capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside your Westinghouse LCM-19w4 LCD monitor. This kit does not include the large 400-450v capacitor, that capacitor may be purchased separately.

We only use high quality capacitors manufactured by Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon in our kits. We do not use CapXon capacitors.

If we don't have a kit for your LCD monitor or TV, we will gladly assemble one.

The kit included all required capacitors. Had to watch that I inserted them with the correct polarity. The Westinghouse monitor has been working fine. It has been about 2 months since installing the new capacitor.

A+ and highly recommend this kit for anyone who can even just tinker. I'm no electronics expert, actually electricity scares me so I am very cautious when it comes to having to deal with it. With that said, the idea of throwing away a flat screen monitor that we paid a nice little bit of money for just two years ago because there was annoying horizontal bands endlessly rolling across the screen did not sit well with me. I figured that since we were going to get rid of the monitor anyway, it was worth trying this kit (around $18 for our monitor I believe), even if I destroyed something it would be an inexpensive lesson and if if worked, we saved much much more. LCDalternatives included instructions as well as links to online videos walking you through the process (actually with some internet search you should be able to find plenty of info on these repairs, that's how I found out about the kits to begin with). As is often said, the hardest thing is getting the monitor apart without breaking too many tabs. This was my first attempt and was completed within 2 hours (less time then it takes to go shopping for a new monitor) and best of all the monitor works like new. I would say give it a try. The only advise I would give is take it on slow and easy, watch those videos closely and be sure to have soldering iron with a good sharp-ish tip, mine was old and rough making it hard to maneuver in those tight areas on the circuit board. Also, test the solder to iron (to see if the iron is hot enough yet) anyway from the circuit board, you do not want extra solder dropping on the board.
