Product Description

This repair kit supplies the capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside a Westinghouse LCM-22w3 LCD monitor. This repair kit is for the power supply board pictured above. Please verify that the power supply board inside your LCD monitor or TV matches this power supply board.

PLEASE NOTE: You are not purchasing a power supply board, only the capacitors needed to repair it!

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors

- Flickering screen

- Screen image disappears after several seconds

- Dim screen

- Slow start

- Power LED on, but no picture

- Unusual colors and/or lines

The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.

If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.

New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.

We only use the highest quality Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon capacitors in our repair kits.

This Westinghouse LCM-22w3 LCD monitor repair kit contains 8 capacitors needed to repair the power supply board inside your Westinghouse LCM-22w3 LCD monitor. This kit does not include the large 400-450v capacitor, that capacitor may be purchased separately.

We only use high quality capacitors manufactured by Panasonic, Nichicon and Rubycon in our kits. We do not use CapXon capacitors.

If we don't have a kit for your LCD monitor or TV, we will gladly assemble one.

this kit is EXACTLY what i needed to repair my monitor. even came with 2 extra caps i didn't need.

it cost me a little under $17 to repair my 22" Widescreen monitor versus buy a new one costing anywhere from $150-$200.

:)

I bought this kit because I knew it wasnt my backlight (I had already replaced that!). Shipping was way faster than I expected. The links to the video instructions didn't work and wasn't for this model of monitor, but it did come with a capacitor pinout chart to show me which ones needed to be replaced. Not being a n00b at soldering and microcircuitry, I went to work de-soldering the old caps and soldering in the new ones. Within 30 minutes, I was complete and had a working monitor! For all of 2 days. Same thing. I contacted LCDalternatives via Amazon and explained what happened and they offered to ship me a 2nd kit to retry at NO cost. I told them I wanted to take apart the monitor and make sure it wasn't my shoddy soldering that was the trick (and it was, resoldered 1 capacitor and it fixed it) but the fact that they offered just astounded me!

I will DEFINITELY be using LCDalternatives for ANY monitor repair kits I need in the future!!!

The kit had everything I needed to repair my monitor. It was much easier than I had expected. It was definitely worth the money and time to try. The only difficult cap to replace (due to close proximity of other components) would have been the 22uf 50V but, fortunately, it was the only original cap on the board that wasn't CapXon. Other than the big 120uf 400V, the 22uf 50V cap was the only other cap on the board that had not bulged. Everything works perfectly!

The whole process took me maybe an hour, and so far has been working just fine. The indicator LED on my monitor doesn't work anymore, but that's probably my fault.

I successfully repaired my computer monitor in one evening while watching TV. It works! It really helps if you are handy and know how to solder--you will need a soldering iron and some solder. The instructions are good. I could have bought all the small parts individually for much less money, but I was willing to pay for the convenience. And it worked without a hitch! Thank you!
