4.0 out of 5 stars first reputable book on repairable systems, April 20, 2008
This review is from: Repairable Systems Reliability: Modeling, Inference, Misconceptions and Their Causes (Lecture Notes in Statistics, Vol. 7) (Hardcover)
This book by Ascher is one of the earliest to concentrate on this topic. Even today there are few books on the topic. Rigdon's new book is more current. This book is referenced by Nelson in his text on recurrent events and I believe that Nelson analyzed data taken from Ascher's book.
Good first introduction but you may prefer Rigdon's book as it should be much more up-to-date.
