4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and informative book on repairing pottery, April 2, 2000
Repairing Pottery and Porcelain is an in-depth guide to repairing pottery and porcelain. It gets pretty technical at times, but it is written in such a way that a beginner can easily learn the art of pottery repair. Instead of offering only one solution to a problem (i.e. cleaning), it offers many, explaining the differences in each.

4.0 out of 5 stars A restorer is a resourceful inventor and innovator., December 11, 2005

This review is from: Repairing Pottery and Porcelain: A Practical Guide, 2nd edition (Paperback)
Most people think of a restorer as someone who uses the right glue and can match color. A restorer is really more than that. In my restoration classes I teach new restorers how to think outside the box. Glue and paint is fine, but get past that. A restorer should be willing to go into uncharted teritory and experiment with possibilities. I think this book is on the right track.

I love this book. It is full of details and pictures. It is a great starter book for those who have never restored porcelain. It is really helpful and also details the equipment and materials needed.
