A Dynamic And Evocative CD ! He Wrote Electric Avenue, December 19, 2006

The mulitalented Eddy Grant writes and plays virtually every instrument on this diverse CD that combines island, soul, rock, reggae and pop songs. For over thirty years Eddy Grant has released wonderful music and he is literally as talented as Prince. His main themes are black empowerment, social justice, pacifism and reverence for all life. Eddy Grant is also a wonderful vocalist who can allure fans of many musical genres. If you like Bob Marley, Sly, Prince and Delta music, you will like Eddy Grant. He was the founder of the UK band, the Equals. Eddy Grant is a bona fide humanitarian, vegetarian, human rights advocate, animal welfare proponent and most importantly, a great songwriter, musician and singer. "Reparation" is one of his finest recordings. It is a shame that Americans are not aware of him. By the way, he's the guy who composed and sang the worldwide hit single "Electric Avenue". Eddy Grant is an ageless treasure that still needs to be discovered in our Nation.
