Repel Sportsmen Max Pump 40-percent DEET, 6-ounce - 94101
Style Name: Pack of 1
When mosquitoes and other biting insects get tough, so should your insect repellent. Trust Repel Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent to keep you covered with DEET protection from biting insects for up to 8 hours. It's formulated to repel mosquitoes that may carry West Nile virus even in the most severe insect conditions.
DEET has been used as an insect repellent in the U.S. for more than 50 years. DEET-based products are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for effective, long-lasting mosquito protection. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, DEET-based products pose no health concerns as long as they are used according to label directions.
Use just enough repellent to cover all exposed skin, but apply sparingly on your face, avoiding your eyes and mouth. To use Repel Sportsmen Max on the outer surfaces of your clothing, spray your shirt, pants, and hat. Apply to the tops of your socks and around the openings of your outer clothing. Wash your hands after application, as DEET-based products may damage some synthetic fabrics and materials. Before you handle your bow or gunstock, allow the repellent to dry completely.
This formula will repel mosquitoes and other biting insects for up to 8 hours, but coverage length can vary if you get wet or if you're sweating excessively. Reapply if you are noticing mosquito activity around you again. You can use Repel Sportsmen Max and sunscreen at the same time. Apply the sunscreen first, and then apply the insect repellent.
Insect repellents that contain DEET offer the best protection against mosquito bites. DEET is designed for direct application to skin to repel insects, rather than kill them.
The concentration of DEET in a product indicates how long the product will be effective. A higher concentration means that it will be effective for a longer period of time. Therefore, products containing lower concentrations of DEET may need to be reapplied, depending on the length of time a person is outdoors.
West Nile virus is established as a seasonal epidemic in North America that flares up in the summer and continues into the fall. Mosquitoes become infected when they feed on infected birds and then infected mosquitoes can then spread West Nile virus to humans and other animals when they bite.
To reduce risk of contracting West Nile virus use a personal insect repellent like Repel Sportsmen Max 40% when outside, especially at dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
